Colorbar Take Me As I am Lipstick in Truesome Pink Review
Hi lovely ladies!!!

The pink lip is always a solid choice, year-round and orange lip is my any time commendable lip colour, but it requires a little more moxie for a few people. What’s the perfect middle ground between a play-it-safe pink and an all-out orange? Coral or coral based orange or pink. The pink-orange hybrid can be a go-to for transforming colour for many. So today, I am reviewing a coral-based pink lipstick- Colorbar Take Me As I Am Lipstick in the shade Truesome Pink. (some break from orange 😉 ).

My Experience with Colorbar Take Me As I am Lipstick in Truesome Pink:
This lipstick comes in a jumbo wooden crayon stick form which looks cute. It is not a twist up chubby stick, you need to sharpen it with the free sharpener provided with it. (Here is a tip: if you sharpen in normal temperature, the product is soft, so the blades tend to scrape more off. When you freeze the product, it hardens up, so there is less wastage. I always notice a huge difference in any pencil product I own when I freeze before I sharpen. I know it sounds weird, but it really works). The good part of non-twist up crayon pencils is that the pointed tip makes the application pretty easy to get a nice crisp line and you don’t have to deal with fat and stubby tip. It has a color-coded bottom, corresponding to the shade of the lipstick, which makes it easier to spot the lipstick in your makeup stash. Expiry date is mentioned on the tube itself which is a plus point.
Coming to the colour, Truesome Pink is a bright coral pink lip colour. Initially, I thought this lip color is similar to the shade “Tickle Me Pink.” But after comparing the two shades, I realized Tickle Me Pink is a bright blue-based pink colour (cool toned) and Truesome Pink is a coral/orange based pink (warm toned). The texture of this lipstick is smooth and creamy, glides on the lips effortlessly with absolutely no pulling and tugging. The finish is on the creamier side though it settles into a matte finish a few hours after application.
It doesn’t feel moisturizing like the shade “Dragging Rust.” Truesome Pink is super pigmented, one swipe is all you need to get rich opaque colour with absolutely no shimmer, that covers up any pigmentation on your lips. The colour lasts for a good 5-6 hours, but stains the lips heavily and the stain wears horribly throughout the day. You literally have to scrub your lips hard to get the stain off your lips.

Looks gorgeous! I have tickle me pink in this range, it has an amazing staying power and one swipe is definitely enough, it’s so well pigmented 🙂 But I hate the stain, it doesn’t go off like you said and that annoys me too much, so I’d skip any more from this range.. Great review!
Thank you abhinaya. Yes the staining part is definitely annoying. I was thinking of trying it on top of a nude lip liner- so that it doesn’t stain my lip much.
Wow I’ll try that too!
I absolutely LOVE your lipstick reviews Raeesa, they tempt me to get more lipsticks 🙂
Aww that’s really sweet of you Jomol. I hope I can tempt you more 😉
Finally something on u that’s not orange 😛 This looks absolutely lovely on u…very pretty shade 😀
Ha ha ha seriously kadambari, a break from orange lip color. You should try this shade, it’s something different.
I dont mind lip stains. It gives a pinkish look to the lips and looks like natural flush of colour on the lips.
*a natural flush of colour. and if you moisten your lips with vaseline it eventually goes.
I will try this. 🙂
But the stain gets so dark, that it looks like you have had a raspberry ice cream lolly and smeared it on your lips.
this looks amazing on you!
Thank you parul 🙂
