Colorbar Time Plus Compact Powder Review

Colorbar Time Plus Compact Powder Review

Hello Gals,

Today, I am reviewing my first compact powder from Colorbar, I picked up a compact powder from their “Time Plus” range.

Colorbar Time Plus Compact Powder Review

Product Description:

Time Plus Compact Powder provides a smooth perfect finish for the minimal, “no make up” look. It sets foundation and provides a flawless finish that lasts for hours together. With Vitamin E and anti-ageing properties, Time Plus Compact Powder soothes and nourishes the skin.

Price and Quantity:

Rs. 200 for 9 gms.

Shades Available:

9.

Packaging:

Compact 1

It comes in a matte grey plastic case with a mirror on the lid and an applicator. The applicator looks very thin, fragile and cheap. Although it works quite okay, it doesn’t give you that uber soft feeling when you apply the compact powder.

Shelf Life:

2 years approximately.

Compact 2

My Take on Colorbar Time Plus Compact Powder:

Although, it is beige, it looks more ivory than beige.  It looks powdery or chalky if you don’t blend it well. I use this over foundation but with/without the foundation underneath, you will still have to blend it well.

I usually apply this with the applicator provided and then blend it with a soft powder brush.  After good blending, it gives a good finish and doesn’t make my face look made up or chalky.  It keeps my face matte for about 4 hours.  My face has a tendency to sweat more than usual, especially if I go out of the house after a head bath, I don’t know why this happens 🙁  But then even after dabbing my sweat, it keeps my face quite neat and I don’t feel as if the compact powder is all washed away with the sweat.

Compact 4

It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin and I haven’t had any breakouts so far 🙂  So, even though you have to work up a little, it gives a decent finish and staying power is decent too.

Compact 5

I would say it is definitely good for the price that you pay and since it isn’t very heavy, it is good for everyday use.  I have combination skin and it works quite decent for me.

Compact 6

Pros of Colorbar Time Plus Compact Powder:

  • Inexpensive.
  • Gives a smooth and good finish after blending well.
  • It survives sweat.
  • Keeps my face oil free for about 4 hours or so.
  • Doesn’t feel heavy on the skin.
  • I didn’t have any breakouts so far.

Cons of Colorbar Time Plus Compact Powder:

  • The applicator is thin and fragile.
  • Blending after applying this is a must for good non-powdery/chalky finish.

IMBB Rating:

Average.

Will I Repurchase Colorbar Time Plus Compact Powder?

Although it works quite okay for me, I would still hunt for better compact powders that wouldn’t require much of work when it comes to blending.

Do I Recommend Colorbar Time Plus Compact Powder?

Yes, its a decent compact powder at an extremely affordable price. Good for everyday use (again, i.e, if you don’t mind the blending work ).

So, have you gals used the Time Plus range from Colorbar, do you like it?

  1. Nice review dipti,
    but i dont think i will buy this.too much blending work 🙁 🙁 🙁 yuck.thanks for the warning 😀 😀 😀
have no time as it is in the morning before i rush to college so i will stick to my lakme perfect radiance compact for now 🙂 🙂 🙂

  2. I tried foundation from this range and I can safely say that it was the sh*ttiest foundation I ever bought. I couldnt find a single good thing abt it. 450 bucks down the drain there. Will not bother about this compact either.

  3. Dipti,…..I have tried the triple compact but it didn’t work for me :(…You are right, there needs to be a lot of blending with these compacts from Colorbar 🙁

  4. oh i love this compact so much that i got myself a backup wen i shifted abroad…..it smooths out facial pores n imparts that natural look without having to work hard on blending out with a brush….this is one of the fuss free easy to use products that i have in my makeup collection n i love it to bits…agree that the applicator is quite fragile n cheap looking but if u get the right shade this powder def will do wonders……me too hav combination oily skin n this keeps the oil at bay for a couple of hours……

  5. Oh really.. I am glad it works for you.. It somehow doesn’t blend easily on my skin.. I just like the fact that it is very light in texture and doesn’t make me feel that I have something sitting on top of my skin… but it takes a bit of effort to blend it out on my skin

Sophia thanks for dropping by 🙂
