Sorry for being MIA again, as I was busy serving guests in my home, you know how hectic it is. But now you’ll get to read my reviews continuously. This my first review of this month, I hope you enjoy reading it. Let’s continue.

Product Details: Innovative extra hold liquid Lipstick with High Shine Gloss. True Glosses glide on extra smooth and fell ahh-mazingly silky & luxurious. Give the lips a 3 dimensional look with high color pay off, making them appear fuller and sensual. With high shine and super softening agents keeping lips soft and smooth.

Price: INR 550 for 3.8 ml.

Packaging: Firstly the gloss comes safely packed in a shiny steel colored outer pack, on which every detail is written. The gloss tube is long, sleek & transparent, with a steel cap. The gloss has the common spongy doe – foot applicator, which is just perfect for application of the gloss on lips in one go. But if you want more intensity of the color you’ll just need to dip the applicator twice & you’re done. Overall, the packaging of these glosses is simply nice & travel friendly.

My Take on Colorbar True Lip Gloss in Nude Lily:

Shade: This is for the first time that I noticed there is a major difference in the appearance of the color in the tube and the color on lips, this doesn’t ever happens with ‘Colorbar’ but this shade is like ‘chameleon’ 🙂 which turns into a different color after minutes of application. The shade ‘Nude lily’ in the tube appears as a perfect n*de, brownish peachy pink color. But believe me, the color turns out to be a true peach color on lips, the name ‘nude lily’ really justifies it, I wouldn’t call it a pure n*de shade, but it’s a perfect peachy shade for Indian skin tone. This kind of peach subtle shade admirably suits every skin tone and won’t wash anyone out. Needless to say, it is an apt shade to wear every day, and to offices & colleges.

Texture & Finish: The gloss has a very creamy, smooth & lustrous texture to it. The consistency is creamy thick, but not sticky or waxy in any way. Generally glosses have gel like formula, but this gloss has creamy like texture to it. The gloss glides very easily on lips; it feels so smooth and super creamy on lips. The formula is very hydrating; it feels super moisturizing on lips as long as long as the color lasts, but after the gloss fades away, the lips may feel little dry, especially if you have dry lips. The gloss has a glossy luster to it and super creamy texture like a creamy liquid lip color. The color won’t settle in fine lines of lips and won’t exaggerate dry lips, but do prep your lips by exfoliating nicely, as the glossy texture of it can make flaky lips look bad.

Pigmentation: These glosses are actually a hybrid product, with a glossy texture & color like lipsticks. ‘Nude lily’ is a much pigmented shade, with the right opacity in it. It would cover pigmented lips in one swipe and the color is very buildable, 2 swipes are enough to get the full color on lips. The gloss won’t become cakey or bleed if layered.

Staying Power: Considering it a gloss, it has decent wearing time, though the fresh glossy luster starts fading after 2 hrs or so, this is the time when the lips would start feeling a little dry, as like the other shades, I think this shade doesn’t stains, all over the gloss will stay on you for 3 hrs, without eating a heavy meal.

Pros of Colorbar True Lip Gloss in Nude Lily:

• A very true peach shade, a perfect shade for peach lovers. I wouldn’t say it’s a n*de shade, but the color is very subtle and a perfect mlbb color.
• Will suit every skin tone, without looking washed out.
• The texture is very smooth & creamy.
• Packaging is very sturdy & sleek.
• Applicator is great to apply the color in one go.
• The consistency is creamy & completely non sticky.
• The formula is very hydrating.
• The gloss is extremely pigmented. It would cover imperfections of lips in one swipe.
• Wearing time of the gloss is good for 3 hrs; it would survive very light meal.
• And those who don’t like the stubborn stain these glosses leave behind, this shade don’t stains.
• The gloss doesn’t bleeds or the color won’t become cakey on layering. But if you’re layering the gloss, I would suggest using a lip liner.

Cons of Colorbar True Lip Gloss in Nude Lily:

• The only major con of this shade I found is the color turns out to be totally different on lips as it appears in the tube.
• Extremely dry lips would feel the urge to re apply the gloss after 2 hrs as the gloss starts fading away.
• A little pricey.

 

Would I Recommend Colorbar True Lip Gloss in Nude Lily?

If you’re a peach lover, and you didn’t find the right peach lipstick according to your skin tone, I think this shade will break your boundaries. It’s a very pretty color, a must have mlbb shade in your stash.

IMBB Rating: 4.7 / 5. Though it’s a perfect gloss for everyone, but I still would give it 0.3 less for the cons it has.
