Have you people checked out my posts on the new shades from Colorbar’s Velvet Matte range? “Dance Wid Me,” “Raise Ur Glass,” “Check Mate,” and “Nauty Gurl,” are some of the shades that I have reviewed recently on IMBB. This particular shade, “Crazy Boat” is something different and when the SA said that this is sort of a peachy milky color that can be mixed nicely into other deeper lipsticks, I got interested! I love mixing lipsticks and that’s why I had to pick “Crazy Boat.”
For a rich lip color with a creamy shine, the Velvet Matte Lipstick, available in stunning shades infuse the lips with vibrancy. Its unique 2-in-1 formulation gives the lips a creamy, yet matte finish. A one of a kind product in India, it has super softening agents that give the lips a soft and supple appearance while keep them nourished with vitamin E. Staying on up to 5 hours on application, the Velvet Matte Lipstick can be further accentuated with lip gloss and lip liner.
My Experience with Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Crazy Boat:
This lipstick comes in the regular velvet matte packaging, which we have been seeing around for years. “Crazy Boat” is a milky peach shade, it is a very pale color. The sole reason for me picking up such a color is to mix it up with other deeper lipstick colors.
The lipstick is really matte, but it is not buttery. It requires a slight amount of pressing to get a good coat. If worn alone, this can be ghostly for most skin tones, but mixed with other shades of brick or maroons, this can lighten as well as mattify the lipstick look.
This lipstick stains slightly unfortunately. The staying power is well enough for 3-4 hours and it could be slightly drying if worn in layers.
This lipstick does not move around, smudge or bleed easily. It feels like most other Colorbar velvet mattes, just that this particular shade is slightly unique.
Pros of Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Crazy Boat:
- Milky pale shade that’s good for mixing with deeper lip colors.
- Mattifies lipstick.
- Quite matte and does not move around.
- Does not bleed.
- Good staying power.
Cons of Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Crazy Boat:
- Cannot be worn alone, too milky for a nude lipstick as well.
- Not buttery enough.
- Stains slightly.
- Can be cakey quickly.
Do I Recommend Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Crazy Boat?
Only if you need a light color to mix and match with deeper lipsticks. Otherwise, this color might not be utilized well enough since it is a very pale milky lipstick.
