For a rich lip color with a creamy shine, the Velvet Matte Lipstick, available in stunning shades infuse the lips with vibrancy. Its unique 2-in-1 formulation gives the lips a creamy, yet matte finish. A one of a kind product in India, it has super softening agents that give the lips a soft and supple appearance while keep them nourished with Vitamin E. Staying on up to 5 hours on application, the Velvet Matte Lipstick can be further accentuated with lip gloss and lip liner.
My Experience with Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Lusty Affair:
This Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick comes in a nice silver tube with a clear cap from where you can see the color. Also, the name has been printed at the bottom. The packaging looks pretty and is lightweight, too. So overall, it’s a nice packaging. Also, the bullet has a nice shape and defines the lips well.
‘Lusty Affair’ is a beautiful brick orange shade, or you can call it a pumpkin shade. I love such warm orange shades as they go well with all skin tones. It’s not a bright neon orange shade, so it is actually a pretty wearable shade. It is perfect for this weather.
Now, the shade is decently pigmented and only two to more swipes are required to get the perfect color pay off. It is not a super pigmented shade and pigmented lips might require extra swipes.
Texture and Quality:
As the name suggests, it is a velvet matte lipstick and provides a beautiful velvet matte finish. The formula is non-drying and keeps the lips soft. It is good enough for all types of lips, even dry lips. It never makes lips patchy or dry. But it clings to dry patches and the texture is not very smooth.
When I glided the bullet on the lips for the first time it felt quite rough as if it has beads in it. But it goes nicely on the lips now. It has become a little smoother after a little usage but still the texture on the bullet is a little rough. It feels like a lip stain more than
a lipstick to me. But it feels very light and comfortable on the lips. It provides a good amount of hydration as well.
It is not a fully matte lipstick, so initially it does transfer, but after few hours it sets as beautiful stain on the lips. It doesn’t transfer or smudge after that. It never settles into the fine lines and does not crease.
The lipstick stays for around 7 hours nicely and it can survive a meal. It looks slightly faded after a meal but leaves a pretty, even stain behind. It’s quite easy to remove with a wipe and even the stain gets removed quite easily.
It’s a beautiful pumpkin orange shade for all skin tones and it lasts quite long too.
