I recently did a mini Colorbar haul and today I am going to share my views about Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick in the shade Wanna Be. Now, let’s get into the details.

Product Description:

My Experience with Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Wanna Be:

Packaging:
Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Wanna Be comes in a nice silver tube with a clear cap (from where you can see the color). Also, the name is printed on the back. It looks pretty and is lightweight too. So overall, it’s a nice packaging. The shape of the bullet is nice and helps define the lips well.

Shade:
‘Wanna Be’ is a beautiful warm mocha brown shade. I love such warm brown shades as they look so trendy on the lips. It will be a great MLBB shade for dusky beauties; it will actually suit all skin tones. Who doesn’t like to wear brown lipsticks! I am pretty sure you would also love this shade. This lipstick is decently pigmented and requires only two swipes to get the perfect color pay off. The formula occupies my lips perfectly.

Texture and Quality:
As the name suggests, this lipstick has a beautiful velvety semi-matte finish. The formula is non-drying and keeps the lips soft as well. I have pretty normal to dry lips and this lipstick works well for me. If you have extremely dry lips, then this lipstick might feel less hydrating. Even my lips feel a bit dry after a few hours. Still, it never makes my lips patchy and never highlights dry patches.

I’ve used another shade from this range and it was quite patchy but this one works very smoothly and the formula is really good. The lipstick feels very light and comfortable on the lips. It glides effortlessly on the lips and provides a smooth and even finish. Since this is not a full-on matte lipstick it does transfer, but a lot of color still remains on the lips as it is a pretty pigmented shade. It never settles into the fine lines or crease.

Staying Power:
The lipstick lasts long, i.e. around 7 hours nicely and it can survive a meal. It looks slightly faded after a meal and a reapplication is needed after that but it always leaves a pretty and even stain behind. I don’t mind reapplying it as the application never feels/looks patchy. It leaves a light stain on the lips and is quite easy to remove with a wipe.

Overall:
It’s a beautiful lip shade for everyday looks. It works for all skin tones and I just love how it brightens up my face. The formula and the staying power are also pretty impressive, considering the price.
