Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Way Beyond Review

I have been posting about many new shades from the “Velvet Matte” range of Colorbar (Mysterious Ways, Raise Ur Glass, Glancing Stare), which I had picked up during Karwachauth shopping. I took mostly darker reds and a few shades of pink too. This one is another n*de peach that I picked up when the salesgirl told me that it was a nice idea to mix this shade with any other dark lipstick easily.

My Experience with Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Way Beyond:

“Way Beyond” has some orange tone to it, but basically, it is a n*de shade. Rather than pinks, this has more orange notes to it making it a different color. I could mix this with any other deeper lipstick to create my own beautiful shade easily.

I love mixing colors and this one is apt for this purpose. On its own, it looks a little pale on my skin tone. If you are really “peaches and cream complexion,” you could wear it easily. This color is good for warm as well as cool skin tones as it hardly adds any color to your face.

I would say this lipstick is on the creamy side, much better than the others from this range. So far I have not noticed much staining with this lipstick. It glides well on the lips, has a thick texture to it and lasts fairly well more than 4 hours. It also does not bleed much on me.

Overall, this is a nice offbeat color which is ideal for mixing and matching. It is not overly drying but it is not a moisturising lipstick either.

• Nice unique orange n*de texture.
• Ideal for mixing with darker shades of lipstick.
• Lasts well on me.
• Does not bleed.
• Not drying on lips.

Cons of Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Way Beyond:

• Too pale for warm skin.
• Not moisturising enough for dry lips.
• Could have been more creamy or matte like the name suggests.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick Way Beyond?
Yes because it is quite a versatile shade, but otherwise, the staining issue of this range is a headache.
