I have numerous shades of lipsticks from Colorbar’s Matte Touch lipstick range. My favourites are “Cinnamon” and “Steal Pink” for light wear for day time. “Wild Mauve” is a close dupe of MAC Rebel, but the properties of the lipstick are not at all same as MAC. The color is a pretty intense one and has deep pink undertones. Find out whether this lipstick is really matte or not through this review 🙂

My Experience with Colorbar Wild Mauve Matte Touch Lipstick:
This shade is not at all matte, in fact in two swipes, this looks glossy. If you wear one light coat, this lipstick has a moisture shine to it.
The color is beautiful, a mix of plum, purple and pink. This looks very sophisticated on a clean, well-lined mouth. I use a lip brush for the purpose. This shade has to be mattified with powder as I don’t like such a bold color to be shiny at all.
Coming to the staying power, it lasts for ages due to the terrible stain it leaves. Wild Mauve leaves a very bright pink and purple stain on the lips which has to be forcibly removed. This is a typical Colorbar lipstick trait which they have not done away with yet.
The color as a coat lasts for 3 hours but the stain lasts forever and it’s quite a turn off. The lipstick is smooth to apply but not buttery or thick, it is not cakey either. I think dry lips will not be a fan of this lipstick.

Cons of Colorbar Wild Mauve Matte Touch Lipstick:
- Leaves a terrible, long-lasting stain.
- Not very apt for dry lips.
- The color is not suitable for younger girls.
- The lipstick is not at all matte.
- It could have been buttery.
Would I Recommend/Repurchase Colorbar Wild Mauve Matte Touch Lipstick?
No, I will not due to the staining properties. If you are into such shades, have a go at the counter and see the stain first before buying it.
