Coloressence Brick House Liplicious Gloss Review

Skin Tone: Medium Olive

Last month I did a review on Coloressence Liplicious Gloss in the shade ‘Red Coral’ and I love that gloss. So I again picked two more shades from this range. Today I am going to share my view on the shade ‘Brick House’. It is a beautiful shade that won my heart. Let’s get into the review.

My Experience with Coloressence Brick House Liplicious Gloss:

Packaging: It comes in a beautiful glossy cardboard box and the actual tube is placed in a front open section in that box. It is a long square shaped black tube with a sleek black cap. I absolutely love this black tube. At the bottom of the tube, it has a clear part that shows the actual color. It looks really attractive and it is easy to identify the shade. Unfortunately this particular bottle is not leak-proof and the bottle always feels slippery. It doesn’t happen with other bottles I have. The applicator wand is long and it has flat shaped sponge applicator which evenly distributes the color to my lips. Good amount of product comes up on the applicator. It is easy to apply this lip gloss.

Shade: Brick House is a very unique shade. It is actually a beautiful earthy pink shade with a dusky tone and yet is bright in finish. Under day light it looks more bright pink and at night it looks more dusky pink. It looks so natural and it has a hint of mauve that makes it more gorgeous. Overall it will suit all skin tones. It is a perfect daily wear shade for office, collage and goes well with any makeup. The shade doesn’t have any shimmer in it. These days I am loving such shades and it looks so pretty on my skin tone.

Pigmentation, texture & quality: As a lip gloss it is really super pigmented and one swipe provides the true color intensity. I am totally amazed with the pigmentation. It has a soft creamy texture and it glides smoothly on lips. It never feels heavy but extra layering might feel heavy. After a few minutes of application, it settles down to a nice natural texture and is quite comfortable on lips. This non-sticky lip gloss gives a very bright glossy shine to my lips. It provides super glossy, soft, hydrated lips. It keeps my lips soft for long and never feels patchy on lips. This is really a nice option for dry lips.

It doesn’t settle on fine lines or crease at all. The gloss transfers quite a bit, still the color retains on lips nicely for the pigmentation. It never moves from its place that much but as it is a gloss, so by the end of the day my outer lip line looks little messy. It gives lovely even application that looks good for whole long day. It has a nice smell of shea butter but it is little too strong for those who do not prefer strong smell. I have no problem; also the smell fades within a few minutes. I really like that, it contains good ingredients like, Vitamin E, Shea Butter, Castor oil and all of them are good for dry lips.

Staying power: As a lip gloss it really stays long on my lips. It stays around 6 hours; still I feel that the ‘Red Coral’ stays better than this shade. The shine starts to fade after 4 hours. It can survive light lunch and snacks but not a heavy lunch. After lunch it looks faded from the center of my lips, still a nice pink stain stays behind on my lips. It never looks bad or patchy even after a long day. It never makes my lip dry. It is easy to remove the color from lips. Overall this is the shade which I actually wanted but couldn’t understand before buying it. I am totally obsessed with this shade. Considering the factors of color, quality and staying powder, it is totally a worth buy.

  1. Wow Chayanti, lovely lip swatches??. this shade Brick house is so strongly pigmented, could be labelled as a liquid lipstick instead of a gloss.
