Coloressence Dual Phase Oil Free Makeup Remover Review

Coloressence Dual Phase Oil Free Makeup Remover Review

Hello Beautiful Ladies,

After coming home from a long day of work, the first thing that comes to my mind is to get rid of the makeup, but I really feel lazy to remove it off.  Removing the long staying, waterproof kind of makeup with plain water is quite difficult. I am very fond of using kajal, eyeliner and mascara.  Even after washing the face multiple times with the best face washes, I still see traces of kajal left on the eyes even the next day. So, I must say makeup remover is a must. I am in search of a makeup remover which is fast, easy and effective.

Coloressence Dual Phase Oil Free Makeup Remover Review

Removing makeup is very important since letting it stay on the skin may lead to breakouts or may lead to skin reactions.  I have been using Maybelline Makeup Remover for a while now which I do like, but this time, I thought of trying Coloressence Dual Phase Oil Free Make-up Remover.

My Take on Coloressence Dual Phase Oil Free Makeup Remover:

Coloressence makeup remover liquid is light pink in color. I have purchased it online and got at a discounted price of Rs. 190 for 200 ml.  Here, I have compared the Coloressence makeup remover with my favorite Maybelline eye lip make up remover. So, let’s find out who wins:

Here, I have taken 5 drops of each product.

Below are the makeup products I have used:

1. Lakme lip liner.
2. Maybelline lipstick.
3. Lakme black impact liner
4. Maybelline colossal kajal.
5. Maybelline hyper curl volume express mascara.

Below image will show the difference in the first swipe. On the left side, I have used Maybelline and on the right side, I have used Coloressence makeup remover.

I have swiped around 8 to 10 times to completely remove the makeup using Coloressence.  Since my eye area is quite sensitive, I would not like to rub it multiple times to remove the makeup, but it does remove the makeup with less number of swipes if more drops are used. There was no irritation on the skin or even when the liquid went into my eyes. Also, as the product claims, I did find it oil free.

Pros of Coloressence Dual Phase Oil Free Makeup Remover:

  • Reasonably priced.
  • No irritation on skin.
  • Oil free.

Cons of Coloressence Dual Phase Oil Free Makeup Remover:

  • Less effective compared to Maybelline makeup remover.
  • For less number of swipes, need to use more quantity.
  • Availability might be an issue.

IMBB Rating:

2/5.

I personally did not like it much and would definitely stick to Maybelline until I find a better one.

So gals, which makeup remover do you use and would suggest?

Coloressence Mesmerising Lip Color: Pristine Pink
Coloressence Waterproof All Day Wear Mascara
COLORESSENCE Lipsticks
Coloressence Aqua Base Makeup
Coloressence Panstick
Coloressence Aqua Sindoor

  1. but it has mineral oil – doesnt that break you out ? I was looking for a good makeup remover that can dissolve silicone based base products and all..any suggestions ?

  2. No Arja, I didnot had any breakouts after using it.. I am in search of a quick makeup remover..Apart from coloressence, I have used only Maybelline till now.. Gals, any one here has any suggestion for Arja.. Do comment:-).. Thanks..

  3. @ife: Thanks for the feedback and suggestion.. I would give it a try.. BTW, which brand aloe vera gel do u use and would recommend? Thanks in adv… 🙂

  4. This sounds ok. The quantity is you get for this price is huge. So I guess you can use more of the product to swipe out makeup, that way you might succeed in removing most of it in less number of swipes. I use Revlon eye and lip makeup remover- its cream based. I reviewed Caudalie cleansing water, that I am really happy with right now, esp for removing eye makeup. You guys can check that out.

  5. Great review ,Nidhi and thanks for comparing it with the Maybelline remover.I’ve been looking for an alternative to the latter.

  6. Hey shruti, yup I agree wid u.. But I mostly use eye make up and using more quanity makes most of the liquid to enter into the eyes which I want to actually avoid… Its a decent product to remove your other make up but would not actually prefer for eyes.. And thanks for suggesting, I would chk out ur review.. 🙂

  7. Manali, I ordered it from medplusbeauty.com . I mostly order my stuff from this website. But when I checked it recently, this product was out of stock, m not sure if its available again. Do chk once. 🙂
