My Experience with Coloressence Gold Shimmer Gel Eyeliner:
The eyeliner comes in a nice gold and black cardboard packaging. The outer packaging bears some product related information. The eyeliner comes in a long slender cylindrical plastic tube. The tube is colour-coded. As this eyeliner is a gold variant, the tube is slightly gold in colour and as all the three shades are very close to each other, it becomes very difficult to spot a shade among them. So, I need to check the shade names individually to ensure that I am picking up the right shade. The tube has a metallic finish screw type cap that fits tightly making the eyeliner spill-proof and travel-friendly. The applicator of the eyeliner is a regular thin eyeliner brush. The bristles are neither too long nor too short. The bristles are soft and they feel gentle on the skin. The length of the bristles is good enough to draw a proper line.
Precisely, It is a gold coloured eyeliner but it is not a bright gold. I expected it to be a bright gold eyeliner. It is a subtle gold and shimmery eyeliner. I am also disappointed to see that the shimmers in the eyeliner are too sparse. As a result, the eyeliner does not impart a perfect finish in a swipe and it requires so many swipes to add that perfect bling to the eye makeup. As a result, the eyeliner takes some time to dry. Therefore, the shimmers of this eyeliner budge easily. The shimmers are quite big but do not look chunky. It is a clear liquid eyeliner with large gold glitters in it. I like to carry such eyeliners to parties and night outs.
The texture of the eyeliner is smooth and almost gel like. But, it does not have a thick gel like consistency. It is neither too thick nor too runny. The consistency is just right and it glides all over the lid. The eyeliner spreads nicely on the eyes without any dragging. It never irritated my eyes and it is pretty safe to be used with contact lenses. The pigmentation of the eyeliner is light and it requires too much layering to make the colour pop up.
Once, the eyeliner dries out completely, it lasts for 4 hours on my eyes. But, the shimmers in the eyeliner tend to move all over the eyelid and makes the entire eyelid look shimmery. The shimmers in the eyeliner are a bit hard to remove. It can only be removed using a good eye makeup remover. Overall, this product has not lived up to my expectations.
