I experiment a lot with beauty, skincare and hair-care products but do not really try new products when it comes to compacts and foundations. I have stocked up the good ones and my skin is pretty much used to it, hence I do not try out many. But, i was tempted to try this one out as it claimed to be a “HD pancake”. I have not tried wet compacts, so was worth giving it a shot! Let us see, how this worked.
Rs 295 for 15 grams
Specially micronized partices blended together as a pancake for silky smooth and soft matte finish. Apply with a brush for a flawless appearance.
Directions of Use:
Use a damp sponge or pancake brush, let it dry and polish with buffer brush to create a base look of a pancake.
My Experience with Coloressence PC-2 Yellow Beige High Definition Pancake:
I have never experimented with a wet pressed powder, hence I was eager to try this out, as there are very few brands that have wet compacts to offer. I was scared to try it because Coloressence products have not proved to be that great to me! But, I gathered guts and went for it.
The pancake comes in a black circular box with the container inside. It mentions all the instruction and other details. The compact is circular in shape and has a transparent packaging that contains the pancake, a mirror and a buff pad. The packaging is very convenient and there is no fall out, since it is supposed to be used in a wet form. I use a different sponge to apply it and then this accompanied buff pad to remove the excess out.
The shade, I got is good enough to suit the Indian fair to wheatish skin tones because the powder has yellow undertones. If you use it alone, there is no way it will give you a good finish. So, do it the way they say. I took out a damp sponge, rolled it in and started applying targeting each area. As I applied, I looked super yellow and my face looked like that of an alien with a yellow face. I got really scared watching it. My mom told me to dab a bit of napkin, so that it did not look so dangerous and then I read the instructions.
It said to buff the compact, after it dries. So, I took the buff pad and started wiping my face. I stopped and saw that it looked natural! I was more than amazed to see the results. My face looked extremely bright and flawless. Although, it did not cover one pimple that was very big, but it covered the rest of the imperfections amazingly. I could not see acne marks on my face. Also, it totally hid my dark circles, which are extremely dark. I felt like, I did not have any under eye monster. There is no other compact that did this! I could not stop staring at my face. My face looked like that of a porcelain doll, whose skin is more than flawless. Of course, it did show some flaws, but I was happy.
It did not feel oily or cakey, in fact it mattified my face completely. It stayed on my skin for 4-5 hours, which is quite decent at this price. It is a tricky product and you have to wait and work on it a little to get the perfect finish. I have learnt the trick and have already ordered more of these.

Will I Repurchase/ Recommend the Coloressence PC-2 Yellow Beige High Definition Pancake?
Yes! I have already ordered 2 more for myself. Many of you might think that Coloressence is a very average brand and most of the products have been duds, but this is nothing like it! It works amazingly on the skin. Due to the wetness, it gives a super good coverage for the face, especially the dark circles. So, get one for yourself and you will be impressed.
None of the pressed powders or foundations that I have tried on till date were successful to hide my dark circles, but this did it with utmost excellence. I did not even need a concealer! The correct way to use this is to apply it with a wet sponge, let it dry and then set it out with the buff that comes along with the pancake. Keep buffing it till the colour matches your skin tone, without looking cakey. Use this technique or else it will feel like a disaster.
