Coloressence Intense Long Wear lip colors have pleasantly surprised me with their texture and staying power. Recently, I picked up 4 shades from the above-mentioned range and in this post, I am going to review the shade “Temptation” for all of you. Let’s see whether this particular shade is a hit or a miss.

My Experience with Coloressence Temptation Intense Long Wear Lip Color:
The outer paper carton is a mix of silver and black with a window at the side for the lipstick. The details about the product are mentioned at the back of the “flimsy” paper box. The shade name and number are mentioned at the base but the sticker mentioning these details is not color coded, so you do have to remember the shade name and the corresponding color.
Though the lipstick is smart and sturdy, I believe it has scope for improvement, especially the outer carton.
The texture of this particular shade is rather disappointing. It is dry compared to the other shades that I have tried, and it tugs on my lips during application. But it does not feel heavy on the lips and as there is no shimmer in the shade, it does not feel gritty at all.
It is quite uncomfortable to wear such a dry shade, but the shade is pretty, so I moisturize my lips well and then, after applying the lipstick, top it off with a shine-free lip balm.
The shade “Temptation” is a beautiful plum pink that doesn’t look over the top even in this season. There is a pretty hue to this shade that makes it quite unique. A lot of skin tones and age groups will be able to sport this shade. The only glitch is that the texture of this particular shade, so prepping and balm on top is a must.
The staying power is good, but without a lip balm, it is not possible to wear this lip color for more than an hour. I have normal lips, which gets dry and parched if I do not take care before and after applying the color. So, staying power is something very dicey to discuss about when this particular shade is concerned. If all the prepping and follow up is done, it stays for about 4-5 hours on my lips. Due to the balm on top, food/drink breaks take away the intensity of the shade and hence touch-up is necessary.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Coloressence Temptation Intense Long Wear Lip Color?
Repurchase – yes, but in some other shade.
Recommend – only if you are ready to work hard to make it work, go ahead. This is a pretty shade, but I feel it is too much of hard work to make this lipstick work.
