I am back with another liner review but this time its a white liner! Last month on my visit to Beauty Centre here in Pune I was looking for a good white liner. I know NYX jumbo pencil in white is supposed to be great but at that time it wasn’t in stock on online sites. Honestly we don’t really have much options when coming to white liner so when the SA showed me this I immediately grabbed it!
White liners have become a rage since many youtube gurus started to wear these to pop out their eyes! I have seen so many youtube makeup gurus wearing either white or fleshtone colored liners to make their eyes appear big and wide!
Even though I don’t have very small eyes but due to structure of my face and dark circles they appear to be very small and deep rooted! I bought this liner to help me make my eyes appear big and wide, so did it fair? Lets find out!
To be honest this is the first purchase from Coloressence brand and I have never heard about them until few months back. They have quite a huge range of products right from cake liners to eyeshadow pencils etc! They also have quite a huge range of foundations and face products right from primers to pan sticks to cream foundation palette etc! So quite an impressive catalog!
The liner unfortunately did not impress me much!
The pigmentation is good but not that great, I have to go on atleast couple of times to get that pop of color. Also its not highly creamy as we are used to with Faces n Colorbar brands but at the same time its not hard or rough to work with. I have not used it as an eyeshadow base but not sure how it’ll fare as its def not creamy so as it can be smudged that easily. The staying power is not great, it stays on my eyes for max 5 to 6 hours only after which it vanishes off completely! I wear contacts and it has never irritated my eyes at all so its safe. Also the complete ingredient list if mentioned on the pencil.
This is how it looks on me. It is a good liner for starters but def not a must have for me!
Pros:-
– Very few companies in India have a white liner
– The quantity with respect to price is quite good
– Very reasonably priced @150 INR
– The liner is soft but not creamy enough to be smudged
– Available at many online sites
Cons:-
– Staying powder is not impressive
– Even though it is soft but i love the creamy texture more
– Cannot be used as eyeshadow base
Rating:- 3.5 out of 5
Over all its okish for me and may be good for beginners who donot want to invest in expensive white liner but def its not a must have.

looks good on your eyes..i didnt know one could use a white liner on the waterline and not make it look ghostly..i have bought white eyeliners in the past and thrown them away cos they werent of much use but maybe its time to pick up one again 🙂
I too was initially scared as i belong to medium complexion n white can look very ghastly..but this color is not that white if you know what i mean so it doesnt make me look like a ghost 🙂 but i dont like this much..for natural look go for fleshtone colored eyeliner 🙂
like ur EOTD.. any ideas how to make small eyes look bigger?
thanks laxmi..avoid using kajal on waterline n instead use a good fleshtone or white eyeliner on waterline..this really makes eye appear bigger! also use a good brightening concealer under your eye area 🙂 hope this helped!
that was a very useful tip for many of us too Parita. I see well defined eyes with kajal/eyeliner etc and i think thats the way i want my eyes to look too but I think thats ends up also making the eyes look shabby if not done well ..I think a white eyeliner serves the purpose for me..:)
thanks Aru..m glad it was helpful 🙂 usually lining the eyes in black gives a good definition to our eyes but at the same time makes them look smaller but lining the waterline with a white or fleshtone colored liner and then just using a little black on the bottom lashline makes our eyes look really big and wide! dont forget to highlight the inner corners of eyes..really opens up eyes!

Mac had launched a chromagraphic pencils a year back i think n that collection had gorgeous fleshtone pencil but it was limited edition so not available now 🙁 apart from this white Nars has a fleshtone eye pencil which I am eyeing but again not available in India..I am having kryolan’s eye pencil n one in bourjois also but bourjois one is light pink in color n looks veyr natural..will review it asap!
I mostly like to go for the flesh tone liners. beyu makes one. even mac has one. I am out and out a kajal girl. use concealer and then use kajal. 😛 Not too keen on white but it works for a LOT of people. 🙂

Parita, I have the Faces one, also felt the same :/ I usually smudge a bit of Streetwear FX Eyes in Groovy Baby in the inner corners of my eyes for brightness. I guess I don’t really know how to use white eyeliner tht well :/
Oh didn’t know Faces had a white liner? me too dear..this is my first white liner 🙂 i like fleshtone ones more as they look bit more natural 🙂

Are Kryolan products available in Pune?
Hi Rene..yes kryolan products are available in Pune @BeautyCenter in Pimple Saudagar they dont have vast range but I have seen paint stick foundation, eye liners, camaflouge creams etc also they will get the product for you if you have the shade no etc 🙂
