Colorful Wedding Eye Makeup Tutorial

Colorful Wedding Eye Makeup Tutorial

Hello Beautiful Ladies,

Colorful Wedding Party Eye Makeup Tutorial

A friend of mine got married and this is the look I wore for her reception and thought will share with you all too. It has peacock colors with just a stripe of glitter, therefore I guess you can call it “Peacock Colors with Peek-a-boo Glitter” :hihi:

Products Used:

  • MAC Prep+Prime.
  • MAC select Moisturecover Concealer.
  • NYX Eye Shadow Base – White.
  • Lakme Peacock Eye Quartet – Blue, Green, Gold.
  • Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush – Gold Rush, Violet Femme.
  • Javico Professional Eye Shadow Palette, 22 – Pink.
  • Konad Eye Lash Glue.
  • Faces Canada Sparkles Glitter Stack.
  • Lakme Insta Eyeliner.
  • Florelle Kajal Pencil.
  • Estee Lauder Projectionist Mascara.

2

Step 1:

Prime your eyes and apply concealer if needed. I applied nothing under the eyes as some dark, pigmented colors and the glitter will have some fall out.

3

Step 2:

Apply an eye shadow base in white, just to further brighten the colors.

4

Step 3:

Apply a blue on the inner half of the eye lid.

5

Step 4:

Apply a green on the outer half of the eye lid and blend the two colors where they meet. To make vertical blending easier, I used one flat shader brush for both the colors.  I applied blue from side and used the other side for the green. To blend, I kept switching the sides and kept patting on to blur the line in between the two colors. I hope I’m clear!! :S (I did both my eyes simultaneously and kept taking pictures for both eyes, some pictures came out blurred, therefore some images are of the left eye and some of the right, that is why the color placement varies).

6

Step 5:

Apply a dark gold on the crease, just place the color, it can be blended out later.

7

The flash was completely washing out the colors.

Step 6:

Take a lighter gold eye shadow and blend the upper part of the dark gold color in the crease.

8

Step 7:

To blend the lower part use a pink eye shadow. I wanted the crease color to be mostly light purple. So that is why I chose a pink color, mixed with the dark blue, it became a light purple.  There is a purple in the “Peacock Quartet,” but it is very dark.  If mixed with that blue, it becomes even more dark. So, you can choose according to your preference.

9

Step 8:

I first placed some tape on my cheek to catch the fall out. Make sure the tape is not very sticky by first taping and removing it repeatedly on the back of the hand till most of the adhesive is dried up. If it’s too sticky, it will pull the sensitive area under the eye a bit too much.  Take a little dot of eye lash glue or glitter glue on an eye-liner brush and apply it across the eye, halfway through the eyelid and then immediately pack on purple glitter on the glue. You can go back and apply more glue and glitter if gaps are left. The same brush can be used for both the glitter and the glue, just dip the brush into the glitter even if some glue is on it. Latex glues come off very easily and they do not harm the brushes at all. Just use some makeup remover or oil to clean.

10

Step 9:

To see if the glitter applied was in a proper line or not, I applied some eye liner to check that. If there is little or no gap left between the liner and glitter, then you needn’t apply more of the glue/glitter. If the line appears crooked, then accordingly adjust the glitter or the eyeliner.

11

Step 10:

Then, remove the tape and clean up under the eye with some concealer.

12

Step 11:

On the lower lash line, I then applied purple on the inner corner and green on the outer, merging it with the green on the eye lid.

13

Step 12:

Then, apply more of the eyeliner to get the desired wing.  Apply some kajal on the waterline and also some mascara.

14

That’s it! Done!

I hope you guys liked it! 😀

While removing glitter, it tends to stick everywhere on the cotton pad/ball and it doesn’t come off easily from the sticky skin, so instead of using a lot of remover, I suggest that if you have glitter fallout, just take some tape, dull the adhesive and then stick the tape over the glitter, be it on the cheek, forehead, lips, neck, wherever. This is much easier and quicker!

Happy Partying!
