I finally laid my hands on the much-raved iluvsarahii collection of Colourpop. The range has been designed in collaboration with Karen Sarahi Gonzalez. So, the collection garnered quite a few eyeballs and not without good reason. The packaging and pricing along with her fame has worked in Colourpop’s favor. Today, I am reviewing an amazingggg lip color from the collection. Scroll down to read why I find it impressive.

My Experience with ColourPop Arriba Ultra Matte Lipstick:

Packaging: The packaging is in a pretty standard clear tube with holographic writing on one side- Colourpop Ultra Matte. The lipstick comes in an outer carton box, white in color with the name of the product and other basics. The bottom of the tube and the box contain the shade name “Arriba.” The tube has a silver cap, which looks pretty and a standard doe-foot applicator.

Color:  The color won my heart! It is a true red- bold, fierce and appealing. Consider it a better version of MAC Ruby Woo. In fact, many are comparing it to the Fenty Beauty Uncensored Lip Color, and at the fraction of its price – this is a winner. The color makes your teeth appear whiter and gives such a bright appearance to your face.

Texture: This Colourpop lipstick has a liquid texture that dries up to a complete matte finish and feels very lightweight on lips. It glides smoothly on lips and feels velvety. The finish would be loved by all matte lovers, as it completely matte, transfer-proof and smudge-proof.

Staying Power: Insanely long staying, it easily lasts for 8-9 hours, with snacking or drinking. In fact, unless you have oily food- like proper butter naan and chicken! That results in the lipstick breaking down from the middle, but that is the case with most liquid lipsticks. It doesn’t accentuate fine lines, but will cling to dry patches. Well-prepped lips are a must with matte liquid lipsticks and this is no exception. Given the excellent quality, quantity and pricing, this one is on top of my recommendations.

• Not very drying.

Cons of ColourPop Arriba Ultra Matte Lipstick:

• Nothing for me!

Would I Recommend ColourPop Arriba Ultra Matte Lipstick?
I don’t find any reason not to! If you can lay your hands on it, pick it up without any hesitation.
