Setting Spray helps to enhance your makeup look and helps to make your makeup stay a little longer. A setting spray is all you need to keep the gorgeousness of your face makeup intact. I have been a faithful user of ColourPop Cosmetics for 2 years now. I have used a lot of products from this brand. The product I’m reviewing here is my first ever makeup setting spray from ColourPop. When I first received it, I was surprised to see how cute and tiny the bottle is. Nevertheless, I planned to use it only when I need to set my heavy makeup or when I want my makeup to last all day long. Read on to know more about it.

Packaging: The packaging of ColourPop Amber Crystal collection is cute and adorable. The ColourPop Aventurine Crystal Setting Spray comes in a small and sturdy transparent glass bottle with a spray nozzle. The setting spray comes housed in a cardboard box that has all the details of the product like directions of use, ingredients and more. The nozzle of the bottle sprays too hard, so one has to careful while applying.
My Experience with ColourPop Aventurine Crystal Setting Spray:
The packaging is quite unique as it comes in a cute glass bottle, which is sturdy and won’t break easily. However, the spray nozzle doesn’t give a fine splash like M.A.C Studio Fix. One major drawback of the packaging is that it sprays in big droplets rather than spraying as a mist. So, you may need 4-5 spritz to cover the entire face. You really have to hold it far away or else, it will soak you.
The spray has a strong cucumber fragrance which doesn’t really bother my nose. I use this spray before as well as after applying my makeup and it takes about 45 seconds for this spray to set on my face. This spray is quite versatile as it can be used to intensify your powder shadows, if you spray it on your flat eyeshadow brush.
I have combination skin and this mist keeps my makeup in place for about 6-7 hours and doesn’t dry out my skin. Also, this spray is loaded with natural ingredients and has moisturizing properties which seal the moisture and prevents the makeup from melting down and keeps it completely matte in finish. The biggest advantage is that it is oil-free and this ensures that all skin types can use this product.
Pros of ColourPop Aventurine Crystal Setting Spray:
- Handy bottle.
- Non-sticky and non-greasy formula.
- Gives your skin a nice refined look.
- Gives matte finish that lasts for 7 hours.
- Smells refreshing.
Cons of ColourPop Aventurine Crystal Setting Spray:
- The nozzle isn’t well designed.
- Available only on ColourPop website so you might need to pay customs.
