My Experience with ColourPop Check Please Matte Lux Lipstick:

Packaging: The packaging of the ColourPop Lux lipstick is luxurious. The lipstick comes in a beautiful, metal rose gold packaging with little gold stars all over it. The lipstick tube has a little weight to it. The bottom of the tube shows the name “Check Please.” My previous lux lipsticks had colour-coordinated stickers which helped me to identify the lipstick shade when I stored the lipsticks on my vanity. However, this lipstick didn’t come with any colour-coordinated sticker, which is a major bummer. The lipstick comes in a white cardboard outer packaging with ingredients list mentioned on it. The bullet of the lipstick also has stars embossed on it. Overall, the packaging is very luxurious, sturdy and travel friendly.

Shade and Finish: “Check Please” is described as a “bright yellow orange” color, and I can see that is a very neon orangey-yellow shade. This shade is a perfect bright summer color. It will suit all skin tones. “Check Please” is very comfortable to wear. The finish is very matte and the lipstick glides on the lips easily. There is no tugging or pulling.

Texture: The texture of this lipstick is matte. It’s very similar to their matte x version of lippie stix. The lipstick has got intense pigmentation. It feels very lightweight on the lips. It is infused with grapeseed, jojoba and pomegranate seed butters. It gives a lot of nourishment to my dry lips. The lipstick is very easy to apply. I use a lip liner and then fill in the lipstick with the help of a lip brush. The lipstick claims to have soft blurring technology, however, I haven’t noticed that it blurred the lines on my lips. The lipstick gives a plump and fuller look to my lips. The lipstick has a faint vanilla scent to it which is not overpowering.

Pigmentation and Coverage: This lipstick is super pigmented however this particular shade is very patchy. I need to swipe multiple times to cover the whole lips.

Staying Power: The staying power is really good with lipstick. It stays on my lips for a good 4 to 5 hours; however, it starts to fade easily if you eat meals or drink water.

Overall, I am really happy with this lipstick. The lipstick can be easily removed with a makeup remover.
