It is always good to have a relative in the United States. 😛 So recently, I got a big surprise when I finally received all ColourPop products in my hands. The brand has gained a lot of popularity over YouTube with the eyeshadows and Lippie Stix. I picked up quite a few items from the brand and one of them is this Lippie Stix in the shade LBB. Read on to know my views on this product!

My Experience with ColourPop Cosmetics LBB Matte Lippie Stix:
Packaging:
I love the white and simply packaging of the Lippie Stix range. It is travel friendly, and easy to work with. It looks super cute too.
Shade and Pigmentation:
LBB is a rich plum colour which has a matte finish. It is highly pigmented and has red undertones. I absolutely love this colour and its superb pigmentation.
Texture:
The texture is quite soft and smooth. The Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks have this harsh kind of texture which is not the case with this Lippie Stix range. All the variants in this range are quite creamy.
Performance:
So the packaging, pigmentation and texture won me over when it comes to LBB. It has drugstore products like fragrance. Other than that, it takes quite a while to dry down and it looks blotchy. Make sure you exfoliate before applying any ColourPop lipstick. They are pretty drying and settle into the lines too. I did use a clear lip balm, but it did not quite do the work for me. They do not hydrate or feel hydrating whatsoever. Nonetheless, I love matte lips so I have no complaints.
The lippie feels a little heavy on the lips throughout the day and does transfer a little. It does wear off from the sides and gets a little messy after 4 hours. I did eat and have coffee in these 4 hours to test the product. I have to say though that for the price, the formula is pretty good and the lippie too. The variety of colours in this range is what I absolutely adore. I wish they would work on the fragrance of this range and make it similar to that of the liquid lipsticks. I like how the lipstick is designed because the sharper edges can be used to line the lips and the flat surface can be used to fill them in.
Also, though the lipsticks I picked are all matte, they do not look matte on the lips. This shade does give a little sheen which is good. Overall, I am in love with the colour and the texture. If you hate lipsticks that feel quite heavy on the lips, then this product might not be for you. Plus, it is a little difficult to remove, so use olive oil or coconut oil to take it off; this shade stains a lot if you just use your regular makeup remover.

• Beautiful colour
• Soft texture
• Travel friendly
• Works as a lip liner and lipstick (I’ve mentioned a technique above)
• Doesn’t look completely matte (if you prefer creamy lipsticks)
• Provides a little sheen to the lips
Cons of ColourPop Cosmetics LBB Matte Lippie Stix:
• Difficult to remove
• Even though a relative sent it to me, I did pay a lot for the shipping; so it is not affordable in India
• Drying
• Feels heavy
• Transfers

I know a lot of people love these Lippie Stix, but I am just being 100 percent honest with the review. I have tried several lipsticks, and this one just doesn’t wow me.
