I am a huge ColourPop fan. I really love all their products and you cannot beat the quality of the product for the price they offer. Today, I will be reviewing the ColourPop Lippie Prime, so let’s see how the lippie primer fared for me.
$5.00 USD for 1 gm.
Our Lippie Primer enhances the wear of any lip product and keeps your lips looking and feeling healthy! Smudge-proof and anti-feathering, it fills in fine lines for a smooth application and longer wear time.
Our primer contains itty bitty spherical beads that fill in lines, making lips instantly smooth and plump! It also contains mango, avocado, and shea butter for moisture and Vitamin E to soothe your lips.
My Experience with ColourPop Lippie Primer:
The packaging is similar to their lippie stix. The primer comes in a simple white lipstick tube with holographic writing on the side – ColourPop Lippie Stix. The side of the lippie stix specifies the name ‘Primer’. The product comes in white cardboard box. The lipstick has a white cap which clicks when shut. The packaging is very light weight and travel friendly. The lipstick easily fits in my clutch due to its slender thin packaging.
ColourPop Lippie Primer is smooth and easy to apply. I apply the primer first followed by lip liner and lipstick. The primer makes my lips very smooth and soft. The primer doesn’t have any colour. It reminds me of a clear lip balm; however, it is not oily or sticky. The primer has a slight matte texture to it. The lippie primer gives a perfect base coat to apply under your lipstick.
This primer contains shea butter, avocado and vitamin E to moisturise the lips. However, the primer doesn’t feel very moisturizing on my lips. The lippie primer prevents my lipstick from feathering, but it doesn’t increase the longevity of the lipstick. My lipstick doesn’t stay on my lips for a long time like a liquid lipstick. The primer also intensifies the pigment of lipstick in a way that it stays true to its shade.
It allows a light stain to remain behind. The lippie primer doesn’t give provide any plumping effect on the lips. The lippie primer has a mild vanilla scent to it. The primer works really great with the ColourPop liquid lipsticks.
Pros of ColourPop Lippie Primer:
- Prevent feathering of the lipstick.
- Smoothes out lips and provides an even base.
- This prier intensifies the color of the lipstick.
- Not super sticky or oily, has a matte texture to it.
- The primer is transparent in color.

Cons of ColourPop Lippie Primer:
- Doesn’t improve the longevity of the lipstick.
