My Experience with Colourpop Lippie Stix Le Freak:

The lipstick comes in a basic and slender white colored plastic tube with a cap of same colour. The tube has silver detailing on it. The tube has color-coded base and it helps to easily spot the shade from the top. The cap of the lipstick tube shuts very tightly and makes it fit for carrying around. The sleek tube can be accommodated easily in my clutch. The shape of the lipstick bullet is slanted and looks quite delicate. The sharp slanted tip gives precise application. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel-friendly.

The shade “Le Freak” is a beautiful deep wine color. The shade may look too vampy on very fair complexions, but it is a stunning shade for most of the Indian skin tones. It will flatter almost all Indian skin tones. This is a beautiful shade for winters. I quite like these vampy shades these days. I love the boom of color it gives and amps up the entire look. It is a stunning shade for the wedding season. It is too loud for daytime wear or everyday use, but it is a stunning shade to rock night parties. The lipstick does not contain any sheen or shimmers. It sets to a nice velvety matte finish. But, it does not have a powdery matte kind of formulation. It has a slight sheen that adds dimension to the lipstick. The lipstick is amazingly pigmented. One swipe gives rich opaque coverage and helps in hiding pigmented lips very well. I apply a second coat just to even out the edges. The color spreads evenly on the lips and does not look patchy. Most of the deeper shades like this tends to look darker at some places while lighter on other. But, this looks even and smooth all over the lips.

The texture of this shade is super smooth. It glides almost like butter on the lips and does not cause any dragging of the lips. But, it does highlight dry patches of the lips, so it is important to exfoliate and moisturize the lips well for smoother and healthier looking lips. So, I would highly recommend prepping the lips well before application. The formula is comfortable and extremely lightweight on the lips. It almost feels like nothing on the lips. The lipstick is smudgeproof up to some extent. The formula is not heavily transferring, but there is a little transfer of color. It survives normal meals easily. The lipstick is not too moisturizing, but it is not dry either. It stays comfortable on my lips and I do not need frequent application of the lip balm. It does not settle into the fine lines of the lips.

The lipstick lasts for good 6-7 hours on my lips with a little fading. Most of the deeper shades are staining in nature, but these lippie stix wipes off completely without leaving any stain behind. Overall, I personally felt that these lippie stix are better that the colourPop liquid lipstick, but it is a matter of personal choice.
