Today, I will review Love Bug which is a true terracotta shade. So, let’s see how this product fared.

My Experience with ColourPop Love Bug Ultra Matte Lip:

Packaging: The packaging is a pretty standard clear tube with holographic writing on the side – ColourPop Ultra Matte. The bottom of the tube specifies the name “Love Bug.” The tube has a silver cap. The applicator is a fluffy doe foot. The product comes in a white cardboard box with the name of the product and the ingredients list.

Texture and Application: The texture of this liquid lipstick is very thin and liquid-y. It dries matte within seconds once applied on the lips, so if there are any errors while applying, correcting them is a task. The fluffy doe foot applicator makes it easy to fill in the corners of the lips with ease. There is a chemical fragrance to the lipstick which personally doesn’t bother me. Once the liquid lipstick dries, it has a powdery feel to it. It gives a kiss-proof and budge-proof finish once it is set. Do not purse the lips when the lipstick is still drying. To avoid the crumbly feel, exfoliate your lips before using the lipstick. Use a lip balm underneath the lipstick if you find the lipstick too drying.

Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is super pigmented and super opaque. It gives a full coverage even if the lips are pigmented. One swipe is all it takes to get the maximum pigmentation.

Shade and Finish: “Love Bug” is a beautiful terracotta shade which is perfect for fall. This brownish-orange shade will complement all Indian skin tones. The lipstick will dry ultra-matte. They are very comfortable to wear. Since it’s an ultra-matte formula, it will accentuates the lip lines. It is a good shade for everyday use.

Staying Power: The staying power is really good with this lipstick. It stays on for around 10 hours without the need to reapply. However, it will start fading from the centre of the lips if you tend to eat oily meals.

Overall, I am really happy with the colour payoff. The lipstick can be easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover.
