ColourPop recently released their lipsticks in traditional bullet form and have named them “Lux” lipsticks. These Lux lipstick are supposed to have a luxurious, comfortable, and creamy matte formula with a beautiful rose gold metal packaging. I purchased the shades “Humble Pie” and “Foolish” from this range. So, let’s see how the shade “Humble Pie” fared for me.

My Experience with ColourPop Lux Lipstick Humble Pie:
Packaging: The packaging of the ColourPop Lux lipstick is luxurious. The lipstick comes in a beautiful metal rose gold packaging with little gold stars all over it. The lipstick tube has a little weight to it. The bottom of the tube shows the colour of the lipstick and specifies the name “Humble Pie.” The colour-coordinated sticker helps to identify the lipstick shade when you store the lipstick on your vanity. The lipstick comes in a white cardboard outer packaging with ingredients list mentioned on it. The bullet of the lipstick also has stars embossed on it. Overall, the packaging is very luxurious, sturdy and travel friendly.
Shade and Finish: “Humble Pie” is described as a ‘bright hot pink’ color and it is indeed a beautiful Barbie pink shade. The lipstick is a perfect, everyday shade. It will suit all skin tones. Humble Pie is very comfortable to wear. The finish is very creamy matte and the lipstick glides on the lips easily.
Texture and Application: The texture of this lipstick is creamy satin. The lipstick has got intense pigmentation. It feels very lightweight on the lips, it is infused with acai, jojoba and pomegranate seed butters. It gives lot of nourishment to my dry lips.
This lipstick is very easy to apply. I use a lip liner and then fill in the lipstick with the help of a lip brush. Due to its creamy texture, the lipstick does smear outside the lips very easily. The lipstick gives a plump, fuller appearance to my lips. The lipstick has a faint vanilla scent to it which is not overpowering.
Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is super pigmented and super opaque. It gives full coverage even if the lips are pigmented.
Staying Power: The staying power is really good with lipstick. It stays on my lips for a good 3 to 4 hours. However, it will start to fade easily if you eat meals or drink water. The lipstick leaves a pink tint once it fades.
Overall, I am really happy with this lipstick. It can be taken down with a good makeup remover.
