ColourPop is one highly hyped liquid lipstick brand out there in the beauty market. ColourPop makes quality products at an affordable price range. This fall they introduced beautiful “fall appropriate” shades in burnt orange, dusty rose and plum under their fall edit collection. Today, I will review “Mama” which is a true burnt orange shade. So, let’s see how this product fared.

Product Description:
Hey lil mama, let me whisper in your ear that you’re gonna be obsessed with this true burnt orange. This thin and lightweight formula glides onto the lips leaving super intense colour with a bold, ultra-matte finish. It’s very long wearing and completely kiss proof!
How To Use:
Step 1: Make sure your lips are bare and dry!
Step 2: Apply matching lip pencil for a precise and perfected application.
Step 3: Apply Ultra Matte Lip with the applicator or your favourite lip brush.
My Experience with ColourPop Mama Ultra Matte Lip:
Packaging: The packaging is a pretty standard clear tube with holographic writing on the side – ColourPop Ultra Matte. The bottom of the tube specifies the name “Mama.” The tube has a silver cap. The applicator is a standard doe-foot wand. The product comes in a white cardboard box with the name of the product and the ingredients list.
Texture and Application: The texture of this liquid lipstick is very thin and liquid-y. It dries to a matte finish within seconds once applied on the lips, so if there are any errors during application, correcting them is a task. The doe-foot applicator makes it easy to fill in the corners of the lips with ease. There is a chemical fragrance to the lipstick which personally doesn’t bother me. Once the liquid lipstick dries, it has a powdery feel to it. It gives a kiss-proof and budge-proof finish once it is set. Do not purse the lips when the lipstick is still drying. To avoid the crumbly feel, exfoliate your lips before using the lipstick. Use a lip balm underneath the lipstick if you find the lipstick to drying.
Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is super pigmented and super opaque. It gives a full coverage even if the lips are pigmented. One swipe is all it takes to get maximum pigmentation.
Shade and Finish: “Mama” is a classic burnt orange shade, which is perfect for fall. It reminds me of the brownish orange fall leaves. This beautiful orange shade will complement all Indian skin tones. The lipstick will dry to an ultra-matte finish. It’s very comfortable to wear. Since it’s an ultra-matte formula, it will accentuates lip lines.
Staying Power: The staying power is really good with this lipstick. It stays on for around 10 hours without the need to reapply. However, it will start to fade from the centre of the lips if you tend to eat oily meals.
Overall, I am really happy with the colour payoff. This lipstick can be easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover.
