Hi everyone,

ColourPop recently has added the “No Filter” foundation to their range. They already have concealer in this range. So let’s see how this No filter foundation fared for me.

ColourPop No Filter Foundation

Product Description:
Developed for the Selfie Age, our full coverage, natural matte foundation delivers flawless looking skin from day-to-night. The oil-free, lightweight formula blends smoothly and is easily customizable to create the coverage you want. Build it up or sheer it out, it was developed with innovative soft-blurring pigments to deliver true color while looking and feeling natural. The lockable pump is easy to use and keeps your routine mess-free! As always, 100% cruelty-free and vegan.
Price:
$12 USD for 25 ml.

Application Tips:
1. Starting in the center of the face, blend foundation outwards.
– For maximum coverage, use Large Foundation Brush, Medium Foundation Brush, or Flat Kabuki Brush.
– For medium coverage, use Duo Fiber Brush, Small Duo Fiber Brush, or a blending sponge. Build it up and apply another layer for more coverage.
2. Apply No Filter Concealer to brighten under eyes or cover blemishes and uneven skintone.
3. Set with No Filter Loose Setting Powder or No Filter Sheer Matte Pressed Powder.

My Experience with ColourPop No Filter Foundation:

Packaging: The packaging of the ColourPop No Filter Foundation is super sleek. The foundation comes in a transparent, sturdy, glass bottle with a twist-up nozzle to dispense the product. The nozzle is not covered with a cap though. The liquid foundation comes housed in a white cardboard box with holographic writing. The box also carries ingredient list and other product details. Since the liquid foundation comes in a glass bottle, I don’t feel you can take it on your travel trips. Overall, the packaging is beautiful and sturdy, but not very travel friendly.

Texture and Application: The formula of the foundation certainly is lightweight and very watery. The foundation is supposed to be matte; however, it provides a natural and semi-matte finish to the skin. This foundation will work great for dry, normal, and oily skin. The foundation can be easily applied with a Beauty Blender for subtle, natural coverage. If you need medium to full coverage, use a foundation brush. The foundation does blurs out my light imperfections.

Coverage: The foundation gives light to medium coverage. You do have to build it up if you want full coverage. The foundation covers my uneven skin tone and blemishes. The foundation is perfect for everyday use with its lightweight coverage. The foundation doesn’t settle into fine lines. I use a pore minimizing primer underneath and apply the foundation on top of it.

Shade: ColourPop foundation range is very extensive. There are 42 shades in this range. The foundation ranges from fair, light, medium, medium dark, dark and deep dark. It comes in neutral, warm and cool undertone. I picked the shade “Light 70,” which has a warm yellow undertone.

Staying Power: The staying power is good. It stays on for around 6 to 7 hours. However, after the 7-hour mark, I do find the foundation has faded significantly from my chin. Also, my natural oils do peek through. I do need to blot it after the 5th hour mark and powder my T zone.

Overall, I am really enjoying using this ColourPop No Filter Foundation.

Pros of ColourPop No Filter Foundation:

  • Natural, semi-matte finish.
  • Blurs out uneven skin tone and blemishes.
  • Gives light to medium coverage.
  • The foundation has a lightweight feel to it.
  • Good longevity.
  • Extremely comfortable.
  • Affordable.

Cons of ColourPop No Filter Foundation:

  • The packaging is not travel friendly.
  • The foundation fades easily after the 6 to 7-hour mark.

  1. I’m glad that you had a good experience with this foundation because my experience was totally different.
I have normal skin and a few lines & wrinkles. This foundation went on beautifully and looked wonderful on me for about an hour to an hour and a half then it settled into lines that I didn’t even know I had and was completely gone in some spots. It looked so terrible that I had to go and remove it before leaving the house.
Just to let you know I applied a primer and a setting spray both of which are my go-to products and after applying my make-up all I did was sit on the couch and read emails, so nothing strenuous.
