ColourPop recently released a new range of lip products – “Ultra Blotted Lip.” Ultra-blotted lips are similar to a lip stain. As part of their collaboration with Alexis Ren, they had released blotted lips. Ultra-blotted lips are the sister to the blotted lips formula. I bought three shades from this range – Out of beach, Slide and Doozy. Today, I will be reviewing “Out of Beach.” So, let’s see how this lipstick fared.

My Experience with ColourPop Out of Beach Ultra Blotted Lip:
Packaging: The packaging is a pretty, standard clear tube with holographic writing on the side – ColourPop Ultra Blotted lip. The bottom of the tube specifies the name “Out of Beach.” The tube has a silver cap. The applicator is a standard doe foot. The applicator allows me to fill in the corner of the lips easily. The product comes in a white cardboard box with the name of the product and the ingredients list. The packaging is very travel friendly and light weight.
Texture and Application: The concept of the ultra-blotted lips is to achieve the look when you apply a lipstick and blot it with a tissue, but they will have a super matte finish. They don’t transfer onto cups like the blotted lips formula. These lipsticks give a popsicle bitten lips. The ultra-blotted lips are like lip stains which has a lightweight texture and you can wear it for a more natural look and it’s going to last for a very long time. Once the lipstick dries, it has a powdery light texture to it. There is no tugging and pulling while applying the lipstick. Even though it’s a matte lipstick it’s not drying and is very comfortable to wear. There is no fragrance to the lipstick which is good.
Shade and Finish: The shade is described as a ‘bright coral’ and it is a gorgeous coral shade.This shade is perfect for summer season. This shade will suit light to medium Indian skin tones. The blotted lips gives me a natural-looking stained lips which I love. The finish of the lipstick is matte which feels feather light powdery to touch.
Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is not super pigmented. If you a sheer wash of colour, you just swipe the lipstick once. If you want it to be more opaque, you can build the lipstick multiple times till you get the coverage. You can also wear a lip liner underneath if you want an opaque look.
Staying Power: The staying power is really good with this lipstick. It stays on for around 5 to 6 hours. The lipstick actually survives meals and fades away evenly. If you eat an oily meal, then this lipstick does fade away. Overall, I am really happy with the colour pay off, the texture and the longevity of the lipstick. The lipstick can be easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover.
