ColourPop Screenshot Ultra Satin Lip Review

Hi everybody,

So, llike I discussed in my previous reviews, I recently did a little Colourpop liquid lipsticks haul. Colourpop recently came out with their new peach liquid lipsticks collection since peachy n*de lipsticks are all the rage these days, and I bought three shades out of five from this collection. The shade that I will reviewing today is called “Screenshot.” It is not the usual ultra matte liquid lipstick that I tend to go for, but I thought of giving the satin liquid lipstick a try this time. Screenshot is described as a mid-tone peach brown. So, read on to know how this liquid lipstick fared for me.

My Experience with ColourPop Screenshot Ultra Satin Lip:

Packaging:  Colourpop liquid lipsticks come in the standard liquid lipstick packaging that somewhat looks like the packaging of a lip gloss. The glass tube is sleek and comes with a metal brush handle. The applicator brush that it comes with is hassle-free and I personally don’t see any problem with it. All in all, it is a very fuss-free packaging and I have no complaints.

Shade:  “Screenshot” is a mid-tone n*de peach. It has yellow undertones and looks pretty good on lips. It is not a matte liquid lipstick, otherwise a color this light would have made the face look flat. Instead, it has a satin finish to it, so there’s a sheen to it. The shade is a gorgeous n*de that really suits my complexion. I think this makes for a great everyday wear lipstick. This is a shade that will go with any outfit/eye makeup look/ and is suitable for every occasion.

Texture and Pigmentation: The texture of ColourPop liquid lipsticks is really smooth and they glide on to the lips pretty easily. I usually apply this liquid lipstick in two thin layers and so it applies on to the lips without much creasing and blotchiness/ patchiness. Once dry, these liquid lipsticks feel like you’re not wearing anything on your lips. They dry super, super matte and I love the final outcome once the liquid lipstick has dried. This lipstick is smudge free. The pigmentation is insane. Even if you apply it in thin layers, the lipstick is great in terms of pigmentation. All you need is two swipes to make the color last all day on you. However, there’s one thing that I’d like to highlight here – the way ColourPop liquid lipsticks that dry into a matte finish feel a bit chalky on lips when you touch them, the ultra satin liquid lipsticks on the other hands feel creamy. But there is absolutely no smudginess.

Staying Power:  Thanks to the insane pigmentation and it being a liquid lipstick, this ColourPop liquid lipstick easily lasts on me 8+ hours and that too with meals in between and I am talking about proper meals here. The lipstick just does not go away. It is also smudge-proof and it hardly transfers. This is one of those liquid lipsticks that I can just apply on my lips in the morning and forget about it and come back in the evening and still find it there just like it was in the morning.

Cons of ColourPop Screenshot Ultra Satin Lip:

  • Not easily available, considering you have to order it online.
  • If you want a liquid lipstick that dries completely matte, steer clear from the ultra satin liquid lipsticks.
