Colourpop does have International shipping option (including India). They charge about $25. Once in a blue moon, they do offer free shipping internationally – you can sign up for their social media page and keep track of it that way. However, pls note thatInternational parcels can attract customs charges – which can vary from 30-43%. Alternatively, you can buy the product from Instagram sellers as well. Either ways, by the time you get it in India – its not gonna cost you $6.

Packaging:
This liquid lipstick has a lip gloss kind of packaging – with silver detailing. The shade name is written at the bottom but since the tube is transparent, its fairly easy to make out what colour it is. Unless you have them in a plethora of shades. It comes packaged in the standard Colourpop white outer box. The applicator is a doe foot applicator – refer pics. Makes for easy and precise application.

My Experience with ColourPop Solow Ultra Matte Lip:

Color: The shade “Solow,” is described as “neutral n*de pink.” I ordered this and “Clueless” together. Just like with Clueless, I was apprehensive about this shade too – that it might actually be something which would suit light/fair skin tones better. I was also wondering if this shade would end up being too similar to Clueless because they both seemed like soft light pinks in the swatches available on the internet. Again, the shade had seemed a tad bit pastel in pics. I’m glad that it isn’t! Yes, when applying, while the shade is still wet, it does look like a creamy pastel pink, but as with all Colourpop Ultra mattes, this too deepened in shade as it started drying. I actually like this shade and it somehow seems like a fun everyday pink! It’s in the medium range, definitely not too soft but not too bright either! I think it could easily work on most skin tones!

Texture: This lipstick shade too is from the initial launch from Colourpop, so it is with the old formula. A quick recap of the Colourpop formula – if you haven’t read my Colourpop reviews before. The original formula is fairly drying. So, Colourpop reformulated and came back with a lovely comfortable formula. The only flip side of this new comfortable formula is that it may stay a tad bit wet and not dry off completely, maybe that is exactly what lets it be comfortable on the lips.

Back to the texture of the shade in hand. While applying, it stays fairly creamy and goes on smoothly. There is no patchiness to the application. However, 5 minutes in and you start feeling the stretch and dryness starts creeping in. It isn’t as bad as the Kylie Lip Kit, but still, distinctly noticeable. It feels uncomfortable. So, this isn’t something I would like to reach for in the coming December months.

Again, this shade too seemed to perform almost like Clueless – it somehow got more comfortable with time – without the product breaking down. So, somewhere close to the 3-4 hour mark – the lipstick had become comfortable to wear and you stopped feeling the stretch. I rechecked the lipstick wondering if it had totally disappeared from my lips – and if that was the reason, my lips didn’t feel dry – it wasn’t! The lipstick was still there, but my lips were not drying out! Very, very strange! Normally, with a drying formula, lipsticks gets worse with wear and starts to cling to dry patches and make them worse.

Another thing, with eating, the lipstick formula not only breaks, it gets a bit powdery as well, quite like the Stila All day liquid lipsticks.

Pigmentation: Pigmentation is fairly good. Despite the colour initially looking pastel, it went on fairly evenly and covered the pigmentation well. So, what you see is what you get. The pigmentation of the wearer’s lips is not going to change the colour post application.

Lasting Power:  The product lasts about 6-7 hours through light snacks – that is if you can live through the initial round of dryness! As is common with the matte liquid lipstick formulas – oil will breaks down the product – be it cleansing oil at the end of the day or the oil in your food. You can easily do a touch up – it will not look patchy. You do not need to remove the entire lipstick and reapply. Eating would cause the lipstick to wear down from the inner portion of your lips. It does not leave much of a stain.

A 3.8/5 product.

ColourPop still remains one of the most affordable and decent formula – decent, irrespective of the price! Having said that, I would still prefer the news formulation than these older ones. The good thing is, there is a huge variety of shades available and it is ever expanding, and at a more comfortable price point. This allows you to even experiment with shades you would normally not choose.
