Liquid shadows are the latest fad in the makeup industry. Not many brands have come up with this kind of product, but Stila and ColourPop have come up with vibrant shades of liquid shadows. The ColourPop shadows are much cheaper than the ones from Stila. As a makeup lover, I would say that it’s worth it to wear those beautiful jeweled eyes on a night out. So, I picked up a gold color as I thought that it would be very useful for me because, I have a couple of Indian weddings to attend this year. So, let’s see how it fared.

As a base:
For extra oily lids, apply an additional primer first
Use the applicator to apply a small amount of product onto the lid
Use your finger or a our Small Shader Brush to quickly blend the product to create an even, thin layer
Follow up with your favorite ColourPop shadow
As a topper:
Using your finger, pick up a small amount of product
Gently apply the product onto the lid using patting motions
Alone:
For extra oily lids, apply additional primer first
Use the applicator to apply a small amount of product onto the lid
Use your finger or our Small Shader Brush to quickly blend the product to create a thin, even layer
For extra impact, apply an additional thin layer

Packaging: ColourPop Supernova Shadow comes in a small transparent glass tube. The supernova shadow packaging is similar to the ColourPop concealer packaging, but the only difference is that the tube comes with a silver cap. I love that it has a flat doe-foot applicator. This applicator is very flexible and bendy. Overall, the packaging is lightweight and travel-friendly.
Texture: The texture of this eyeshadow is liquid metallic with full of shiny glitters. It is creamy to touch, but when you apply it on your eyes, it gives a super metallic finish. Due to its texture, it is best applied with a flat brush or your fingers. The eyeshadow dries down fast. The glitters do not smear around and there is no fall out during the application of the shadow.
Pigmentation: I can use it super opaque in one swipe or layer it finely on top of other shadow for a little extra sparkle. More than one swipe makes it crumbly and messy.
My Experience with ColourPop Supernova Shadow Walk of Fame:
I love the way the tube is designed. It’s a cheaper dupe of Stila Glitter and Glow Liquid Eyeshadow. I am no stranger to glitter and this might be the easiest way to wear it because, the applicator is so convenient to use. You definitely need to let these shadows air dry because, they apply pretty wet. I have experienced zero fall-down which was a huge relief. It glides on smoothly and is insanely pigmented. The color is stunning gold that goes perfect with my ethnic outfits. The color can be worn on its own or as an accent colour, either in the inner corner of the eye swept up towards mid eyelid or just in the center of the eyelid for highlight.
The only drawback is that it looks peeling and messy sometimes if I apply more than one swipe. After a few minutes of application, it becomes patchy and I have no idea how to fix it. It generally happens when I use too much of the product. So, one has to be very careful with the quantity that should be applied. Also, it lasts for about 4 hours and tends to fade away gradually with time.
