ColourPop recently released a new range of lip product – “Ultra Blotted Lip.” These Ultra-blotted lips are similar to lip stains. Ultra-blotted lips comes from the same family as “Blotted Lips” formula. Today, I will be reviewing Double Scoop. So, let’s see how this lipstick fared.

Product Description:

It is completely transfer-proof and long-wearing but also lightweight and comfortable. No cracking or flaking! Leaves lips smooth and fresh. Apply your Ultra Blotted Lip in a thin layer for most comfortable wear. TIPS: To intensify your look, line your lips with a matching Lippie Pencil, this will help you achieve the perfect finished look and it will also give the appearance of fuller lips.
My Experience with ColourPop Ultra Blotted Lip Double Scoop:
Packaging: The packaging is a pretty standard clear tube with holographic writing on the side – ColourPop Ultra Blotted lip. The bottom of the tube specifies the name “Double Scoop.” The tube has a silver cap. The applicator is a standard doe foot wand. The applicator allows me to fill in the corner of the lips easily. The product comes in a white cardboard box with the name of the product and the ingredients list. The packaging is very travel friendly and lightweight.
Texture and Application: The concept of the ultra-blotted lips is to achieve the look when you apply a lipstick and blot it with a tissue but they will have a super matte finish. They don’t transfer onto cups like the blotted lips formulae. These lipsticks give you “popsicle-bitten” lips. The ultra-blotted lips are like lip stains which has a light weight texture and you can wear it for a more natural look and it’s going to last for a very long time. Once the lipstick dries, it has a powdery light texture to it. There is no tugging and pulling while applying the lipstick. Even though it’s a matte lipstick, it’s not drying and feels very comfortable to wear. There is no fragrance to the lipstick which is good.
Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is not super pigmented. If you like a sheer wash of colour you just swipe the lipstick once. If you want it to be more opaque, you can build the lipstick multiple times till you get the coverage. You can also wear a lip liner underneath if you want an opaque look.
Shade and Finish: The shade is described as a ‘light coral’ color and it is a gorgeous coral shade. This shade is a tad bit lighter than the shade out of beach. This shade is perfect for summer season. This shade will suit light to medium Indian skin tone. The blotted lips gives me a natural looking stained lips which I love. The finish of the lipstick is matte which feels feather light powdery touch.
Staying Power: The staying power is really good with this lipstick. It stays on for around 5 to 6 hours. The lipstick actually survives meals and fades away evenly. If you eat an oily meal then this lipstick does fade away. Overall, I am really happy with the colour pay off, the texture and the longevity of the lipstick. The lipstick can be easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover.
