Skin Tone: Wheatish golden
Skin Type: Oily and sensitive
So my obsession for liquid lipsticks continues and today I have ColourPop’s Ultra Matte lipcolor in shade Creeper. A relative was sweet enough to send me some products from ColourPop. I am not going to ramble at all and will jump straight to the review. I have mixed feelings about these liquid lipsticks but they are quite affordable and the colour range is commendable which is why I always want more of them. Anyways, here is how Creeper worked for me.
Price: $6 (excluding shipping charges)
This thin and lightweight formula glides onto the lips smoothly and leaves SUPER intense pigment-rich colour with a bold, ultra matte look. It’s very long wearing and completely kiss proof! We suggest storing these babies upright and shaking before application!
Step 1: Make sure your lips are bare and dry!
Step 2: Apply matching lip pencil for a precise and perfected application.
Step 3: Apply Ultra Matte Lip with the applicator or your favorite lip brush.
**For smoothest finish always exfoliate your lips first!

My Experience with ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip – Creeper:
Packaging: The packaging is quite basic like any other liquid lipstick. It has a nice silver cap and a doe-foot applicator.
Shade and pigmentation: It is quite pigmented and is a beautiful orange red which brightens up the face.
Consistency, texture and staying power: The liquid lipsticks from ColourPop are very thin in consistency and they feel good on the lips. I love Tulle a lot but Creeper is so blotchy. You cannot get an even application in one go; you have to go over the colour again and again. Plus it dries down so quickly and settles into the fine lines. Maybe this colour is not as good as the others. I had extremely high hopes with Creeper but they went down the drain as soon as I started applying it. I tried it once without exfoliating, which you shouldn’t do. After exfoliating and using a balm, the lipstick goes on nicely but if you just use a balm underneath, you will not like it. It is transfer proof and stays on for a long time, but your lips start looking so crusty after 8 hours. I love that it is transfer proof and feels light on the lips but it dried out my lips so much.
And also, it is a challenge to take it off. You must use an oil-based makeup remover or actual oil to remove the lipstick. It is literally a glue for the lips which is great for those people who go for long events. You don’t need to touch it up because the colour stays in place for more than 8 hours. Overall, I have a love-hate relationship with this colour.
Pros of ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip – Creeper:
- Transfer proof color.
- Travel friendly packaging.
- Color will suit many skin tones
- Light formula and long wearing texture.
Cons of ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip – Creeper:
- Applies blotchy.
- One needs to exfoliate lips before applying the color.
- Dries out the lips.
- Settles into the lines.
- Difficult to remove.
IMBB Rating: 3/5
