I have got three mini liquid lipsticks quite sometime back and totally forgot to share my reviews on the same. So, here comes my review of Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in the shade Notion. Keep reading to know more about it.

Isododecane, Diisopropyl Dimer Dilinoleate, Nylon-12, Silica, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Polypropylsilsesquioxane, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Propylene Carbonate, Blue 1 Lake (Ci 42090), Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499), Red 28 Lake (Ci 45410).

My Experience with Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip Notion:

Let’s start with the packaging of the product. The liquid lipstick comes in a clear cylindrical tube with silver detailing on it. The tube has a bright metallic silver screw on cap that closes very securely and makes the lipstick leak-proof and fit for carrying during travels. There is a small doe-foot applicator attached to the cap.

The applicator is soft and quite sturdy. It is not flexible and its sharp edges help in giving precise lip lines. The see-through packaging helps to spot the shade easily from outside. The shade name is mentioned on the side of the tube in a silver font. The tube is sleek and does not take much space in my clutch. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel-friendly.

“Notion” is a beautiful cool-toned berry color. This is flattering for most of the Indian skin tones. But it is a bold shade and not ideal for everyday use. It is certainly a rocking party shade for the night out. It instantly brightens up my face but this shade is flattering with a proper base makeup. It sets to a gorgeous matte finish.

It is amazing in terms of pigmentation and covers pigmented lips in one go. It delivers full opaque coverage with just one swipe. It does not look patchy upon layering. It gives a minty cool sensation to the lips. It has mild vanilla fragrance, which is barely bothersome.

The texture of the lipstick is medium thick. It is neither very runny nor too thick. It glides effortlessly on the lips and doesn’t cause any tugging or pulling. It spreads easily and sets within a minute. This one does not have quick drying formula, so it gives sufficient time to apply the lipstick properly. It feels light and comfortable on the lips.

The lipstick dries perfectly and does not feel sticky on the lips. This shade does not have crumbling issues. It is absolutely transfer-proof, waterproof and smudge-proof. It is totally devoid of any sheen or shimmer. Being a matte lipstick, it does highlight the dry patches of the lips, so it is mandatory to properly exfoliate and moisturize the lips. It is not at all moisturizing and lips feel dry after an hour or so.

The color lasts more than 6-7 hours with heavy meals in between which is quite impressive. Removing this lipstick is a bit difficult. A good oil-based remover is required to get rid of every stain of this lipstick.
