I love the Ultra Satin Lip formula from ColourPop. Today, I will be reviewing the shade “Dopey” from ColourPop Ultra Satin range. This shade is one of the bestsellers from this brand, so let’s see how this liquid lipstick fared.

High pigmentation and a satin-matte finish in liquid lipstick form to keep your lips soft and comfy all day long. Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho, it’s off to the club you go in this muted pink. A creamy, bold lipstick with a satin finish. This formula has the same high percentage of pigments as an Ultra Matte Lip but contains emollient ingredients for added moisture, keeping lips looking fresh and feeling super comfortable. Though this lipstick is super long-wearing, it is not completely kiss-proof and does transfer.
My Experience with ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip Dopey:
Packaging: The packaging is a standard standard clear tube with holographic writing on the side which mentions – ColourPop Ultra Satin. The side of the tube specifies the name “Dopey.” The tube has a silver cap. The applicator is a standard doe-foot type. Overall, the packaging is lightweight and travel friendly.
Texture and Application: The texture of this liquid lipstick is bit moussey and liquid-y. The main difference between ultra-matte and ultra-satin is that the ultra-satins don’t dry completely matte. It dries to a velvety matte finish within a few minutes once you apply it on the lips, so if there are any errors during applying, you can easily correct them. The doe-foot applicator makes it easy to fill in the corners of the lips with ease. There is a chemical fragrance to the lipstick which personally doesn’t bother me. Another major difference between the ultra-matte and ultra-satin is that the latter does not give kiss-proof, budge-proof finish. It does transfer a lot, however, it is very long lasting. It is advisable to exfoliate your lips to achieve a flawless finish. The ultra-satin doesn’t dry your lips and give a smooth finish. It is the most comfortable liquid lipstick formula.
Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is super pigmented and super opaque. It gives a full coverage even if the lips are pigmented.
Shade and Finish: The shade is described as a ‘muted pink’ and it is indeed a very stunning warm-toned mauve pink shade. This colour will complement all Indian skin tones. The lip colour is a perfect everyday shade. When you first apply, it be satiny finish; however, it turns matte as time passes by. You can also blot it with paper if you need an instant matte lip look.
Staying Power: The staying power is really good with this lipstick. It stays on for around 6 hours without the need to reapply; however, it will start to fade if you eat oily meals. It does stain my lips pink. Overall, I am really happy with the colour payoff, the texture and the longevity of the lipstick. The lipstick can be easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover.
