Hi everyone,

If there is one ColourPop product that I could recommend to everyone, it’s hands down their “Ultra Satin Lips.” I am slowly but steadily increasing my ColourPop ultra satin lips shade collection. In this post, I will be reviewing the shade “Lost.”

My Experience with ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip Lost:

The packaging is a standard clear tube with holographic writing on the side which mentions ColourPop Ultra Satin. The bottom of the tube specifies the name “Lost.” The tube has a silver cap. The applicator is a standard doe-foot wand. The applicator allows me to fill in the corners of the lips easily. The product comes in a white cardboard box with the name of the product and the ingredients list. The packaging is very travel friendly.

“Lost” is described as a ‘red brown’ color and it is indeed a very beautiful warm deep red shade. This shade will suit all skin tones. This shade is perfect to wear on special occasions, like a wedding or for a festive occasion. When you first apply the lipstick, it will be of satiny finish; however, it turns matte as time passes by. You can also blot it with paper if you need to achieve an instant matte lip look. The finish is creamy at first and turns into a long-lasting matte lipstick.

The texture of this liquid lipstick is a bit mousse-y and liquid-y. The main difference between ultra-matte and ultra-satin is that the ultra-satins do not dry completely matte. It dries velvety matte within a few minutes once applied on the lips, so if there are any errors, you can easily correct them.

The doe-foot applicator is a bit fluffy which makes it a bit hard to fill in the corners of the lips with ease. There is a chemical fragrance to the lipstick which personally doesn’t bother me. Another major difference between the ultra-matte and ultra-satin is that the latter does not give kiss-proof, budge-proof finish. It does transfer a lot; however, it is very long lasting.

It is advisable to exfoliate your lips to achieve flawless finish. This lipstick doesn’t dry out lips and gives a smooth finish. It’s the most comfortable liquid lipstick.

This lipstick is super pigmented and super opaque. It gives full coverage even if the lips are pigmented.

The staying power is really good with this lipstick. It stays on for around 7 hours without the need to reapply; however, it will start to fade if you eat oily meals. Overall, I am really happy with the colour pay off, the texture and the longevity of the lipstick. The lipstick can be easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover. Overall, I am really impressed with the longevity and the feel of the lipstick Lost.
