ColourPop Ultra Satin Lips are one of my all-time favourite lipstick formula. Recently, ColourPop released Fem Rosa collection as part of the collaboration with Karucche Tran. Today, I will be reviewing ColourPop ultra satin in the shade “Mrs.” Let’s see how this lipstick fared.
$6 USD for 0.11 oz.
High pigmentation and a satin-matte finish in liquid lipstick form to keep your lips soft and comfy all day long. A deepened coral. A creamy, bold lipstick with a satin finish. This formula has the same high percentage of pigments as an Ultra Matte Lip but contains emollient ingredients for added moisture, keeping lips looking fresh and feeling super comfortable. Though this lipstick is super long-wearing, it is not completely kiss-proof and does transfer.
My Experience with ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip Mrs:
Packaging: The packaging of Mrs ultra-satin lip is beautiful. It comes in a standard clear tube with rose gold writing on the side – ColourPop Ultra Satin. The bottom of the tube specifies the shade name “Mrs.” The tube has a silver cap and rose graphic design. The applicator is a standard doe-foot type. The lipstick comes packaged in pink cardboard box filled with beautiful rose design. Overall, the packaging is lightweight and travel friendly.
Shade and Finish: The shade is described as a ‘deepened coral’ and it is indeed a very stunning warm-toned brownish coral shade. This colour is absolutely beautiful and will complement all Indian skin tones. The lip color is a perfect everyday lip colour. When you first apply the lipstick, it will be satiny finish; however, it turns matte as the time passes by. You can also blot it with paper if you need an instant matte lip look.
Texture and Application: The texture of this liquid lipstick is bit mousse-y and liquid-y. The main difference between ultra-matte and ultra-satin liquid lipsticks is that ultra-satin ones don’t dry completely matte. They dry velvety matte within a few minutes after application, so if there are any errors during application, you can easily correct them. The doe-foot applicator makes it easy to fill in the corners of the lips with ease. There is a chemical fragrance to the lipstick which personally doesn’t bother me. Another major difference between the ultra-matte and ultra-satin is that the latter does not give kiss-proof, budge-proof finish. It does transfer a lot; however, it is very long lasting. It is advisable to exfoliate your lips to achieve flawless finish. The ultra-satin doesn’t dry your lips and give a smooth finish. They are the most comfortable liquid lipstick.
Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is super pigmented and super opaque. It gives full coverage even if the lips are pigmented.
Staying Power: The staying power is really good with this lipstick. It stays on for around 6 hours without the need to reapply. However, it will start to fade if you eat oily meals. It does stain my lips pink. Overall, I am really happy with the colour payoff, the texture and the longevity of the lipstick. The lipstick can be easily removed with an oil-based makeup remover.
