This is my second post on IMBB & in this post, I would like to share some tried & tested tips for your mane.
1. How to Decide Hair Care Regime
The condition of your hair majorly depends upon your lifestyle, for example on how much you travel in a day, your exposure to pollution & dust etc. Depending upon that, you need to formulate your hair care routine. Like, if you stay indoors most of the time, a simple shampoo-conditioner routine is enough and you don’t even need many styling products. But, in case of too much exposure to sun & dust, you need to shampoo-condition your hair more often along with using other hair care products. It is very important to maintain good cleanliness for beautiful and healthy hair.
2. Greasy Scalp
Apply conditioner only on the bottom 3/4 of your hair. Our scalp naturally produces oil every day, so we don’t need the extra moisture for roots. Adding any extra moisture lead to flat and greasy hair.
3. Limp and Oily Hair
After shampoo and conditioning, make sure to rinse your hair thoroughly. Leftover products may cause build up in scalp & make hairs look limp or oily.
4. Tangled Hair
Use a wide tooth comb as it will remove all the tangles without tugging and pulling your hair. You can also use a natural-bristle brush for less damage to your hair. A softer and flexible brush will also aid to blood circulation.
5. Rough and Frizzy Hair
Switch to silk from cotton. Silk pillows feel very luxurious and also make hairs and skin smooth. Cotton is bit harsh on hair as well as on skin. Sleeping on a silk/satin pillowcase helps reduce knots as well as frizz. Try this tip, you will feel the difference.
6. Hair Fall and Dandruff
The most important reason for hair fall is dandruff and itchy scalp. Don’t confuse dandruff with dry scalp condition. Dandruff is a skin disorder which needs much attention. Rubbing oil on the scalp is only a temporary solution. To cure it completely, you need to incorporate medicated anti dandruff shampoo in your hair care regime.
7. Dry, Damaged Hair
Take almond oil, castor oil, coconut oil and olive oil in a small bowl. Heat up all of these together for few seconds. Apply this concoction on your manes generously like dipping each strand in the oil and massage your scalp, thereafter. Leave it overnight and wash your head subsequent morning. And, hello gorgeous hair!
8. Lifeless and Prematurely Greyed Hair

9. Dry and Rough Hair

10. Excess Sun Exposure
Try to cover your hair with a scarf or hat while travelling or whenever there is exposure to sun and pollution.
11. Wet and Tangled Hair
Combing or brushing wet hair and/or tying up wet hair results in hair breakage. Wait at least till your hair is 50% dry to start combing.
12. Unhealthy and Thin Hair
The most effective home treatment for beautiful hair is a healthy diet. Include almonds, walnuts and sprouts in your diet. You can also incorporate multivitamins like biotin for thicker & longer hair.
13. Brittle Hair
Dry, brittle hair are not desirable at all. No matter how much you love your hair, it is mandatory to get hair trim every once in a while depending on the needs of your hair. Also, try to avoid haircuts with layers & steps if you are trying to maintain length.
14. Grey Hair
Headstands increase blood flow to the scalp and can reverse the process of greying. So, if you have started noticing few grey hairs here & there, you can start practicing headstand.
