Conceal Rx™ Physicians Strength Concealer Review

Whenever we think of makeup, the first few products that come to our mind are foundations, lipsticks, eye shadows or may be a blush, but we sometimes forget one of the most important things that helps to make the makeup look perfect – the concealer. At least, I do forget applying concealer whenever I am in a hurry. But, believe it or not, a good concealer can do wonders and can make you look absolutely flawless.

Now coming to the product that I will be reviewing today, it’s a green-colored concealer from the brand Physicians Formula. The color is called “Soft Green.”

Price: When I got this, it was for around $8.95, but now the company has raised its price to $9.55

Packaging:

This concealer comes in a little tube with a very tiny screw on cap. The tube is opaque and so the amount of product left in the tube cannot be seen. But, as it a squeeze tube, it’s good as far as the hygiene is considered, as only the required amount of product gets exposed.

My Experience with Conceal Rx™ Physicians Strength Concealer

Physicians Formula does have many different kinds of concealers and this one belongs to the Conceal Rx range. This range of concealers has 4 different colored concealers, 2 of which are normal colored concealers. I do have one of the normal colored concealers in the shade Fair Light. The other two concealers are colored or actually, correcting concealers.

The shade Soft Green is a green colored concealer (as the name suggests) which is mainly used to hide the redness on the face. I received this concealer around a year ago and I never had the courage to use it until the time I had breakouts on my face and I had a party to attend. This was the situation which made me try this particular color.

The concealer is quite thick in consistency which actually makes it a little easy to work with. It does its job of hiding redness perfectly, but as it’s green, it remains green even after proper blending. No matter how hard I tried, the green cast of the concealer remained on my face. But, this green cast is not so difficult to hide; it can easily be done by using a good foundation. So the main trick of using this concealer is to use it under the foundation and not over it.

The concealer can be applied in various ways; fingers can be used, a makeup wedge can be used, or it can be applied with a brush, but the best way to apply this particular concealer is with the help of makeup wedges as they make the concealer blend really well. A very small amount of concealer can go a long way. It does not make the skin feel dry nor does it crease on the skin, but as claimed by the company, the concealer does not actually stay for as long as 12 hours.

The concealer does hide the redness on the skin, but it does not work for big pimples, it can actually make the pimple look even worse. But, yes it can hide the marks left by pimples. Overall I would say that this is not something that can hide dark circles or big pimples. But, this is definitely something that can do wonders for redness and marks.

• Does its work extremely well.
• A little amount of product goes a long way.
• Does not crease.
• Stays for a long time (though, not as long as claimed by the company).
• Blends really well.
• Travel friendly packaging.

Cons of Conceal Rx™ Physicians Strength Concealer:

• Can make you look extremely green if not applied properly or if larger amount is taken.
• Not good for larger pimples.
• Not available in India.
• Not for under eyes.

Would I buy this product again?

Yes! It’s good for redness and I do have this problem, so this is a good way to hide it.

Do I recommend this?

Yes! If you get a chance to get this, do get it. It’s really good
