Cool & Cool Deep Cleansing Nose Strips Review
Cool & Cool is a new brand in the skin care market that has launched nose strips and wet wipes. These strips come for normal to combination skin and oily skin. Such options make you happy, don’t they? I’ve used the one for normal skin [although I have acne-prone skin] and it worked just fine.
Once upon a time I was using the ShoHan nose strips [a Korean brand] but those aren’t available at most Health & Glow stores any more so switched to this one. I have to admit I loved ShoHan for more reasons than one [One being the price INR 18 per strip] but I have settled with Cool & Cool. ShoHan works the same way as Cool & Cool.
So back to the nose strips – most of us have used these at some point or another. Thanks to Ponds to introducing us to the world of nose strips. Can’t believe all those years I walked around with a nose full of blackheads. Eh, I didn’t know better!
This product comes in a pack of 1, 3 and 6. The price for each is INR 69, INR 139 and INR 340 (approximately). The one meant for oily skin says charcoal on it and is marked around the same price. Also, they make strips for forehead and chin. Cool, isn’t it? Got to try that!
This is what the product claims to do –
“Cool & Cool deep cleansing nose strips are one step cleansing treatment specifically designed to unclog pores and lift away unwanted blackheads. The strips remove the dirt and oil which clog pores, leaving your skin clear and smooth. You’ll feel a dramatic difference after just one use, and continued use of Deep Cleansing nose strips works to tighten pores, keeping and feeling fresh.”
Well, first of all, is there such a thing as ‘wanted blackheads’? Didn’t think so! But I like this product. I really do. You’ll see!
Now, it does nothing as dramatic as it claims but yes, it does pull off MOST of your blackheads. Your skin will quite obviously feel smooth once the gunk is out.
What do I like about it?
Ø Packaging is nice. The strips come individually packed and then once more in a box. [Not in picture].
Ø Instructions are given very clearly behind each pack.
Ø Dries off before 15 minutes if the weather isn’t damp or something.
Ø Can be pulled off easily. It does not stick to your skin and terrify you.
Ø Does what it claims to a great extent except for the drama bit.
What I don’t like about it?
Ø Sometimes it does not get blackheads from the side crevices of the nose.
Ø Pricey! Pricey!
Ø I feel the need to use this twice a week when I’m outside too much. [I’m a teacher so when I’m at school I’ve had to use this twice a week. Otherwise once every two weeks or so is fine.]
Ø It leaves the white sticky glue thing on the skin but that comes off with water in a jiffy.
A tip > use blackheads after a steam or hot shower since your pores are open then and the nose strip works better. I usually follow it up with a pack just on the nose so the pores are cleaned and it helps to close them without trapping bacteria.
Would I repurchase it? Yes, until I find ShoHan again!
