My Experience with Coola Liplux SPF 30 Original Formula:

The balm comes in a basic plastic retractable packaging with a white retractable case and vibrant blue cap, like any ordinary lip balm. I can sniff mild peppermint vanilla essence; but here is the good news for sensitive beauties – I can hardly detect any fragrance or taste post application. Oh yes, it almost feels like an odourless product once applied on the lips. So far I like the sturdy and travel-friendly packaging.

The lip balm also resembles transparent white chapstick balms sans the cooling menthol feels, though. The texture of this lip balm is quite stiff as I feel a slight tugging on the lips but in a good way. I mean, it simply leaves a soft sheen on the lips with no color and/or additional shine. It does not seem to be melting off or showing wear and tear due to frequent usage, unlike other lip balms which literally break off in the middle of usage. I was happy with my previous AmorePacific Moisture Bound Lip Treatment, but after finishing it, I was looking for a cheaper alternative.

Moreover, my severely chapped lips wanted a change. Thankfully, this Coola Liplux came as a fresh change in my life, not to forget it’s way cheaper than my previous lip balm. I also like the fact that it provides SPF 30 and is formulated with some natural ingredients. I can see the benefits of using this balm on my lips as my lips retained their natural pink fluffy shape and color with usage. Also, the texture of my lips became soft and smooth. It works from day one of usage to treat dry, parched lips and transforms them into smooth, soft lips in as little as 2-3 days with regular usage.

We need to re-apply it throughout the day. Let me tell you it does not stay on for too long on my lips (say 1 or 2 hours), considering it has a light-weight, thin texture. I need to re-apply it every 3-4 hours depending upon my requirements; though, I am never consistent with its usage and often stick to AM/PM routine. Still it showed me effective results. I am also impressed to see that it works so well with my lipsticks and lip stains. The reason that it hardly leaves any slippery, oily shine on my lips works like a charm when I wear this balm under lipsticks and lip stains. I can even slather it over matte lipsticks or stains for a mild sheen and sun protection.

I genuinely feel that it has changed the dry texture of my lips to smoother and healthier one in just a few weeks of usage. I do feel occasional dryness on my lips whenever I skip using the lip balms but you can blame the weather for that. We cannot expect any treatment to last forever, right? I just feel the staying power could have been better as I am not a very consistent person who would slather a lip balm every 1 hour. I would definitely like to get it again, considering it provides quick relief, effective results and sun protection. I highly recommend this balm to every beauty, including beauties with dry, chapped lips, provided you are fine with the staying power.
