Hello gorgeous ladies,
I recently came across this interesting product on Covergirl’s display at Walmart. This is their new Bombshell Pow-der Brow + Liner. With drugstores coming out with a ton of brow products in different formats, I am not surprised that Covergirl came out with this exciting product. Let’s find out if it actually works.
CAD 9.99 (approximately INR 503)
My Experience with Covergirl Bombshell Pow-der Brow and Liner:
Covergirl Pow-der Brow is a fairly new brow product that has just arrived in my local Walmart. I was really interested in this because it’s a powder wand v/s a brow gel. As I have mentioned in my previous posts, right now, my favourite brow products are the L’Oreal Brow Definer Pencil and the L’Oreal Brow Gel. I really prefer brow pencils because they tend to look softer and more natural than brow pomades which can make your eyebrows look hard and stiff. Since this was a new format of doing the eyebrows, I got intrigued and decided to give this a try.
Packaging: Powder Brow comes in an inkwell-type container, just like a liquid eyeliner. For some reason, something rattles inside the cap and it sounds like those little metal balls that are in nail polishes! I was expecting a doe-foot applicator, but I was surprised to see that this has a small, flat rubbery sponge that feels really grippy and holds a lot of powder on it. It also makes this so easy to apply and it gives you tons of control because it’s not slippery and you can really make sure the product goes exactly where you want it. The small size of the wand also makes it easy to use this as a liner.
Color: It’s available in four shades – Blonde, Medium Brown, Dark Brown and Black. I purchased the shade “Medium Brown” which is not the perfect shade for me. I have naturally dark eyebrow hair and I don’t know what I was thinking when I got Medium Brown!! My bad!
Pigmentation and Texture: This bad boy is so pigmented, it’s crazy! You actually have to use a really light touch or it deposits a ton of color. I barely had to touch it to my brow and instantly they looked fuller. The powder is super finely milled and clings to the brows well, but I must warn that it has crazy fallout!
Longevity: I did not expect much longevity out of this product since this is a brow powder, but surprisingly enough, the powder sticks to both hair and skin and lasts all day!
As a brow product: It doesn’t work for me ladies! The application is so awkward and messy with this funny wand. It’s not precise enough for a sharp brow look but okay for filling in sparse areas.
As an eyeliner: The wand applicator was slightly easier to use on my lash line. Since the product is a powder, using the Bombshell Pow-der has a similar effect to swiping some eyeshadow on your lash line. It also wore quite similarly to an eyeshadow and faded away softly throughout the day. I would say it does work for smudging kohl on the lower lashes.
Quality: The first time I used it, my brows looked really dark and I had to wash it off and start over. So, my conclusion about this product is that I cannot use it as a brow powder, but it works average like a liner.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Covergirl Bombshell Pow-der Brow and Liner?
Well, I would be honest and say that I am not going to recommend this Covergirl Bombshell Pow-der Brow + Liner to anyone, let alone repurchasing! There are so many affordable and mess-free products at the drugstore that this baby does not stand anywhere as compared to them. Even though it’s affordable, it makes no sense spending 10 bucks on a complete dud!
