This review will be on a lipstick from Covergirl’s Colorlicious Lipstick range and the shade name is “Tempting Toffee.”

My Experience with Covergirl Colorlicious Lipstick 255 Tempting Toffee:

The lipstick comes in the pretty metallic finish color-coded packaging. The base of the lipstick tube is also color-coded and indicates the shade of the lipstick while the color-coded cap helps to categorize in which color family the shade falls in. The tube is rectangular in shape and looks cute. The cap of the lipstick shuts tightly making an audible click sound and makes it fit for carrying around. It does not come off while carrying in handbag or pouch. The shape of the bullet helps in drawing precise and sharp lines. There is a sticker at the base of the lipstick tube, which bears the shade name and number. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel friendly.

“Tempting Toffee” is a beautiful caramel-n*de shade. This shade would look flattering on fair to medium fair skin tones and will wash out deeper complexions. This shade is subtle which makes it a nice everyday lip color. The lipstick does not contain any shimmer or any frostiness. It sets to a soft creme finish. It looks creamy smooth on the lips. The formula is decent in pigmentation. It gives sheer color in one swipe and needs to be built up with multiple swipes. It may not be capable of hiding extremely pigmented lips.

The texture of the lipstick is good. It is creamy smooth and glides on the lips effortlessly, but it has the tendency cling to the dry patches of the lips. So, it is important to prep the lips well for smoother lipstick application. It slides easily on the lips without any drag. It is lightweight and feels comfortable on the lips. It does not have a thick and heavy texture.

The lipstick is very moisturizing and nourishing. It is non-drying in nature and it keeps my lips hydrated and nourished. It looks lovely on the lips and never gets patchy. It does not settle into the fine lines of the lips. The lipstick has a tendency to transfer because of its creaminess.

The lipstick lasts for approximately 4-5 hours on my lips with a little fading. It survives light meals but does not survive heavy meals and fades away completely. The formula is non staining and easy to remove.
