I was not a blush person at all until last year, but I got inspired via IMBB and now I have got hooked on to blushes. Out of this new-found love for blushes, I picked up the Covergirl tru Blend Blush in the shades “Deep Mauve” and “Medium Rose.” Today, I am reviewing the shade “Deep Mauve.” Read on to find out if I liked it or not

Never stop blushing with Covergirl’s New truBLEND blush! This blush makeup has a new marbled baked formula that’s ultra-blendable and delivers a beautiful, multi-toned result designed to fit light, medium and deep skin tones alike.
My Experience with Covergirl Deep Mauve Trublend Blush Makeup:
Packaging: The blush comes in a simple white plastic case with a transparent lid. The lid shuts tight and there is no danger of the blush opening accidentally even if you toss it in your bag. There is some pretty mauve-pink detailing on the packaging which makes it look attractive. The blush itself is dome shaped and has a marbled appearance.
Color and Pigmentation: “Deep Mauve” is a dark plum-pink shade. It looks lovely in the pan and in the swatches, but looks slightly too dark for my skin tone. I need to be cautious to use it with a very light hand, but I am sure this shade will look gorgeous on deeper skin tones.
The blush is very strongly pigmented and you only need to swirl your brush once slightly. You get a strong pop of color without having to build multiple layers.
Texture/Finish/Lasting Power: This blush has a lovely texture, it feels very silky and finely milled while applying. It goes on well and is easily blendable. The finish of the blush is satiny and it has the slightest sheen to it which adds a lovely glow to the cheeks.
The lasting power of the blush is quite good. It easily lasts on me for around 5-6 hours post which it starts to fade.
Pros of Covergirl Deep Mauve Trublend Blush Makeup:
- Lovely silky texture.
- Strong pigmentation.
- Easily blendable.
- Nice satiny finish with a subtle glow.
- Decent lasting power.
- Adds a nice flush and radiance to the face.
Cons of Covergirl Deep Mauve Trublend Blush Makeup:
- This shade might be a bit too dark for lighter skin tones.
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Covergirl Deep Mauve Trublend Blush Makeup?
I would definitely recommend you to try out this blush as it has a pretty good formula. I will not repurchase the exact shade as it is slightly dark for me.
