I am reviewing another eyeshadow here and this is from CoverGirl. There are about 20 shades available in this range and the shade that I am going to review is Aqua Paradise which is a pretty teal color. My obsession with teal color never seems to end. Let’s get onto the review.
Description by Covergirl:
Simple, single shades with a silky sheer formula. Mix and match them the way you want to create your own combos with matte, pearly, or sparkly shades! They blend easily to let the natural beauty of your eyes come through.
Around 3 USD depending on where you get. I got this shade for 99 cents on a sale. Now you know why I got this shade.
Packaging: The packaging looks very simple and is sturdy. It comes with a dual-sided sponge tip applicator. It locks perfectly thus making it easy to be carried around when you travel. It’s a teal colored shimmery eyeshadow. The product is very easy to blend and the shimmer is not over the top.The texture is fine and is not flaky.
Pigmentation: This eyeshadow is decently pigmented without a primer, but applying after a primer, gives more intense color to the shadow and helps it last long.
Longevity: I have oily lids. So, I use this with a base. On my eyes, with a primer, this product lasts for around 3-4 hours. Without a primer/base it doesnt last for long. Also, the shimmer gets all over on my oily lids.
My Take on CoverGirl Eye Enhancers – Aqua Paradise:
I like this shadow more for its color than anything else. It has a decent amount of pigmentation when its worn alone. I also have tried it on top of NYX Jumbo pencil in French Fries and some black eyeshadow. It gives a totally different shade of green that way. Coming to the staying power, it stays long only when I use a base. It just doesn’t work on my oily lids when worn alone. There is no much fallout as such but you may notice some during the application. No noticeable creasing on top of a base. Only major problem that I have with this eyeshadow is that its kind of difficult to get the product onto the applicator. When I use a brush, I kind of swipe it 3-4 times to get the right amount. This is due to that the shadow just sets hard in the container if you know what I mean.
What I Like about CoverGirl Eye Enhancers – Aqua Paradise:
- Good pigmentation.
- Pretty color.
- Does not crease much.
- Decent staying power.
- No major fallouts
What I Do Not Like about CoverGirl Eye Enhancers – Aqua Paradise:
- Needs a base/primer underneath.
- Difficult to get the product onto the applicator or even brush.
- It has parabens.
- Non-availibility in India.
Do I Recommend CoverGirl Eye Enhancers – Aqua Paradise?
If you particularly like this color, then I think its an affordable eyeshadow to go for. Other than the color and price, I don’t think it holds a special quality to be bought for.
