Covergirl Flamed Out Eyeshadow Pot in Fired-Up Pink Review

Covergirl Flamed Out Eyeshadow Pot in Fired-Up Pink

Hello Beauties,

I am a very ‘Eyeshadow person’ if that is a term. I wear eyeshadow all the time, just wearing the correct shade as per the occasion. Over the years, I have kind of mastered the art of wearing eyeshadow in a way that it doesn’t show if you don’t want to, but yet adds a glamour to your eyes. Recently I have delved into wearing bright sparkling colours for parts and in an attempt to find a pink with shimmers I came across Covergirl Flamed Out Eyeshadow Pot in the shade Fired-up -Pink and decided to share it with the IMBB gang.

Product Details:

“Blazing, blendable pots of super-saturated colour to help you create bold, explosive looks and get your eyes noticed.”

Price: $3.94 to $6 for 2 gms (Prices may vary).

Packaging:

The eyeshadow comes in a pretty little pot with a transparent cover, that shows the shade beneath and has the brand name embossed with silver bold letters. The packaging looks good for the price but they don’t have the shade names mentioned on the pots. Only the shade numbers are there and one has to look up to the websites to match shade name with the number. Like all pots this one also lacks any applicator or mirror.

My Take on Covergirl Flamed Out Eyeshadow Pot in Fired-Up Pink:

I am in two minds about the product. It has a very unsatisfactory colour pay-off by itself, but when used with a primer it holds on for long hours.

This eyeshadow is the prettiest pink shade ever. It is a perfect pink with lilac undertones and has got just the right amount of shimmer in it. It is one of those eyeshadows that bring out instant colour to your face and is thus great for those ‘morning to evening change-overs’, where you can just dab a little shimmer to the corner of your lids and you are all set to ooze glamour.

It blends nicely on your lids and becomes a part of your skin easily. Even if the colour comes off, the shimmer stays on the lids for hours together or even after cleaning it with cleansing pads. This eyeshadow calls for a serious heavy duty eye makeup remover. The shade that shows after just one dab seems quite light and you have to put the brush in the pot quite a number of times to come up with that drama that we expect with a hot pink shimmer colour.

This colour is not for the faint hearted or for those who like to keep things simple and subtle. This is a head turner and for all those divas who love to add dash of bright hues to their makeup.

IMBB Rating: 4.5/5.

I definitely see myself purchasing some more shades from this pop colour range from Covergirl. I have used a red one and that was equally good, and as I always use a primer before applying eyeshadow thE colour pay-off issue is too trivial for me to get over these pretty little things.
