My Experience with Covergirl Jumbo Gloss Balm Cream – 305 Cherry Cream Pie:
Packaging: This lip cream comes in the standard lip crayon packaging. The tube is a bright red which matches with the shade of the lipstick and the base is silver. The cap shuts tight and is opaque. It has a twist-up mechanism which makes it easy to use. No sharpening is needed which means no product is wasted. But the lipstick does not swivel down completely and part of the lip stick remains exposed. This makes it prone to accidental nicking. Since the product is in a lip crayon format, it is easy to apply on the Cupid’s bow and corners of the lips.
Shade: “Cherry Cream Pie” is a beautiful cherry red shade. It is a glamourous shade which instantly adds brightness to the face. Since it is a bright red shade, it is not exactly suitable for office wear but is very well suited for functions and festivals.
Texture/Finish/Pigmentation: This Gloss Balm Cream indeed lives up to its name. It has the texture and pigmentation of a lip cream. It glides smoothly on the lips like a balm and doesn’t tug at your lips at all. It feels quite moisturizing and comfortable on the lips. And finally, the finish is a glossy crème which looks really gorgeous on the lips.
The lip cream is decently pigmented but you do need 2 swipes to get an even opaque finish.
Since, this is such a bright color, it tends to feather a bit. I would recommend using a lip liner to avoid this issue. The lip cream lasts around 3-4 hours and can survive light meals. The lasting power is quite average, but that is expected from such a creamy product. It does not clump on the lips andleaves behind a very subtle reddish stain on the lips.

Yes, these are a great option if you are on the lookout for a glossy, creamy, balmy lip crayon. The shade “Cherry Cream Pie” is a lovely bright red shade. I will not repurchase the same shade but I already have a few more shades from this range.
