I realized that I did not have any Covergirl lip products in my vanity and hence decided to try out some. Today, I am reviewing the Covergirl Jumbo Gloss Balms Creams in the shade 295 Strawberry Frappe. Read on to find out more.

My Experience with Covergirl Jumbo Gloss Balm Creams – 295 Strawberry Frappe:
Packaging: This lip cream comes in the standard lip crayon packaging. The tube is a bright fuchsia pink and the base is silver. The cap shuts tight and is opaque. It has a twist-up mechanism which makes it easy to use. No sharpening is needed which means no product is wasted, but the lipstick does not swivel down completely and part of the lipstick remains exposed. This makes it prone to accidental nicking. Since the product is in a lip crayon format, it is easy to apply on the Cupid’s bow and corners of the lips.
Shade: Strawberry Frappe as the name suggests is a beautiful strawberry pink shade. The shade looks lovely and instantly adds brightness to the face. It is a fun girly shade which is most suited for summer/spring months. Of course, that doesn’t mean that you can’t rock it in other seasons.
Texture/Finish/Pigmentation: Covergirl calls these as “Gloss Balm Creams” and indeed this product lives up to that name. It has the texture and pigmentation of a lip cream. It glides smoothly on the lips like balm and doesn’t tug at your lips at all. It feels quite moisturizing and comfortable on the lips. And finally, the finish is a glossy crème which looks really gorgeous on the lips.
The lip cream is decently pigmented, but you do need two swipes to get an even and opaque finish. The lip cream lasts around 3-4 hours and can survive light meals, but that is expected from such a creamy product. It does not clump on the lips and leaves behind a very subtle pink stain on the lips.

Yes, it’s a great option if you are on the lookout for a glossy, creamy, balmy lip crayon. The shade “Strawberry Frappe” itself is such a bright and cheery shade. I will not repurchase the same shade, but I already have a few more shades from this range.
