Skin tone: Fair to medium.
Under eye area: Heavy dark circles.
Hello pretty ladies,
Concealer is one magic product that we all should have in our kitty as it helps in providing a flawless finish to our makeup. I have pretty much liked the foundation from Covergirl which was the same, but a bit bigger in size. So, I thought of grabbing the concealer for using them both together. I chose the shade 320 Fair/Light. Let’s see how this one fared for me.
Price: $10.65 (approximately Rs. 715/-)
COVERGIRL makeup and Olay serum join forces in one powerful eye CC cream to color correct and conceal. Cover dark circles, brighten eyes instantly, and even out skin tone over time.
Step 1: Smooth concealer on dark circles, age spots, blemishes, and discoloration.
Step 2: Using the pads of your first two fingers, gently press to blend the concealer.
Step 3: Finish by dabbing COVERGIRL + Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation on cheeks and blending outward toward the edges of your face and hairline.
My Experience with Covergirl + Olay Eye Rehab Concealer:
Packaging: The Covergirl + Olay Eye Rehab Concealer comes in a fat and short cylindrical bottle with a purple cap. The bottle is a see-through one and hence, you can easily spot the shade. The concealer comes in a convenient pump packaging which is super easy to use as it pumps out the needed quantity only. This bottle is very handy to use and the cap does not open on its own. The usage instructions are printed on the back side of the bottle.
Shade: The shade, “320 Fair/Light” suits my skin tone perfectly and I am glad about it. The shade does look bright initially when I apply it, but later it settles down to a perfect colour that suits my skin tone. Covergirl has a lot of shades to choose from, but they don’t have enough shades for women with dusky/deeper skin tones.
Consistency and Look on the Eyes: The consistency is just amazing. It is soft, smooth and feels more like a mousse. Liquid concealers usually don’t provide a good coverage while the heavy ones look super cakey under the eyes, but the texture of this concealer is just perfect. It blends easily in my under eye areas and it covers my dark circles beautifully. It has a medium to heavy coverage and covers up to 80% of my dark circles. It brightens up my eye areas very well making it look super fresh.
Staying Power: The staying power is average. It stays for around 4 to 6 hours and a bit more if I top it up with a good setting powder. It does not crease a lot, so it’s a good product.
Conclusion: The entire range of Covergirl + Olay works really good and is certainly a budget-friendly drugstore brand to try out!
