Hello Beautiful People,
How is everyone doing? Today I will be reviewing the CoverGirl Ready Set Gorgeous concealer that was launched last year. I am not a concealer person to be very honest, I feel imperfections are beautiful and they define you. I do have light dark circles and mild scarring on my cheek, but I don’t feel the urge to layer a million products on my face. Basically, I want my skin to breathe while looking its best and concealer is always the last thing on my list. The Ready Set Gorgeous line from the brand focuses more on the twenties demographic than the older consumers, the concealer I feel is meant for girls in their teenage or their early twenties.
Claims: Cover Girl’s Ready, Set Gorgeous concealer quickly conceals dark circles and imperfections. Lightweight formula blends easily. Easy to apply and lasts all day. Oil free, won’t clog pores.
Price: It is priced at $7.99
Packaging: It comes in a plastic tube packaging, with a sponge-tip applicator, just like lip gloss. The cap is white while the bottle is transparent with CoverGirl Ready Set Gorgeous written over it. The shade name and other details are listed on the outer packaging; the bottle is kept really simple and is pretty durable as well.
Color: The shade I own is light-medium 210. It matches my skin really well. However, the brand offers a limited shade range which is perfect for people with light-medium skin tones, and they match their skin tones quite well.
Pigmentation: I find the coverage okay-ish. I find it sufficient for myself, but people who prefer full-coverage concealers, will not really like it. If you have intense dark circles or puffy eyes, this concealer will not cover them up like you want it to. It does brighten up those areas, but not to an extent of concealing intensely pigmented areas. Also, as you blend the concealer becomes sheer.
Consistency: I have seen that most concealers have a very dry texture; however, the formula of this concealer is really good. It is creamy and extremely light weight, which feels really hydrating. The best thing about this concealer is that it blends effortlessly and does not settle into any fine lines. The consistency of the concealer amazed me, I was very impressed indeed.
Lasting Power: As I’ve mentioned earlier, I am not really a fan of concealers and I wear them once in a blue moon, only when there is a really special occasion and I need to look super flawless. I must have worn it for not more than five hours; the brightening effect of the concealer wears off around four hours, which is probably the best determination of lasting power according to me.
