The story of Jojoba Oil
Desert plants know a thing or two about retaining moisture and jojoba is the queen of them all. First discovered by Native Americans, jojoba oil drenches skin with nutrients, helping to replace lost moisture. Our founder, Cyrus Harvey, fell in love with jojoba as a kinder alternative to whale oil—hence our sea-inspired packaging.
Using our original heritage recipe, we take this golden oil and blend it with a fragrance of green herbs, woods, citrus and a hint of floralcy to keep you refreshed and hydrated. We recommend it whenever you feel a little parched.

My Experience with Crabtree and Evelyn Jojoba Oil Conditioning Bath and Massage Oil Review:

This is a different product from the usual hand creams and body creams. This is a bath and massage oil. I was very excited to use it, since the packaging was very cute. It’s a sea inspired packaging and so, there is a beautiful picture of open shell with two people sitting. The bottle is also dark blue in color. As we all know, the oil should not be kept exposed to sun light. The bottle takes care of itself here. The cap is a screw cap and is very secure. I would still never travel with it to be on safer side. Oil spillage is something which cannot be fixed. I have had bad experiences and would never travel with oil.

The consistency of the oil is very thin and lightweight. The oil gets easily absorbed into the skin. It does not feel sticky or stain the clothes. I use a very small amount when I use it as a moisturizer after shower. I also use it post-shower in the evening, rather than morning. I would not want my clothes to smell of oil. So post-shower, I apply a thin layer of it, once a week or so and go to bed.

The fragrance of the oil is so lovely. It’s a mix of lavender and herbal. The fragrance is quite strong and not everyone would prefer it. So, make sure to sniff it before purchasing. I personally love the fragrance, as it feels relaxing when used before going to bed. The oil is also very nourishing to the skin. The skin will feel well moisturized. The oil does not leave any kind of residue.

One can also use the oil for bath. Add a few drops into the bath tub, so that, the skin does not feel dry once you are out. I have not tried it in the bath tub, as I feel it’s more work to clean the slippery bath tub after use. Overall, I am satisfied with the massage oil, which can condition the skin well and also smells amazing. I also use it on my kids once in a while.
