Hi Everyone, 🙂
Here’s another creative makeup look I did today. It’s basically a two color look- yellow and orange. I just applied yellow eyeshadow all over the lid and then blended orange in it unless they looked seamless together. And the followed the same theme throughout even for the lips. 🙂 Hope you like it. 🙂 I did two versions of this look – one with bindi and other without. Which one do you like more? 🙂 And if you recreate the look don’t forget to tag me on social media. You can also share your looks in Madam gupshup. 🙂

Burberry Cashmere Foundation Review ( Price : USD 52/INR 3500 approx) This foundation is available in 14 shades. I use the shade Warm n*de no34 (medium with yellow undertone). For reference I am shade NC35 in MAC and have normal to dry skin. This shade of foundation in Burberry matches my skintone perfectly. I have been using this foundation from a couple of weeks now and honestly, it took me a while to from an opinion about it. I absolutely adore Burberry Makeup. they might be a luxury fashion brand but when it comes to their cosmetics, I think they take that too very seriously. I have used Burberry Fresh Glow Foundation, which was my absolutely favourite. So I had high expectations from this one. It is a soft matte finish foundation. Since I have normal to dry skin, I often never feel the need to powder it. Often when I have tried to apply powder on top of it, it rather starts looking quite flat and dull on me. It come sin this gorgeous light weight pump bottle. Very classy and effective packaging. The texture of the foundation is creamy and goes on seamlessly on skin. I feel it works better when you use it with foundation brush than with a beauty blender. The finish is medium and can be built up to pretty much a full coverage with a second layer. I’d say it is a bit shy of full coverage that prevents it from looking very mask(y). It looks quite natural and feels every lightweight on the skin.Although this foundation has a good coverage, it can easily be worn during the day because it feels so light on the skin. I like that there are 14 shades available in this and it covers shade both for very light and very dark skin tones. This does not accentuate the pores or settles in fine lines. This also has never broken me out and I have been wearing it quite consistently from fast few weeks. It does not have SPF so makes it great for wearing it in evenings as well. It is an oil free foundation so people with oily skin can also use it. It is extremely long lasting. I have worn it for as long as 8 hours and I have never noticed any patches or fading with this one.
The two problems I face with this are one- it oxidises on me and that too really badly. I have tried using it with various primers and somehow I end up looking two shades darker after a few hours of wearing it. And second, it is never consistent with how it photographs. Sometimes, it blows me away and sometimes I am left underwhelmed with how this looks in photos. (Check how my foundation looks in two posts HERE and HERE) This prevents me from wearing it to places where I knew I’d have to take photos etc.
Overall, I am not wowed by this foundation. As natural and gorgeous it looks in real life, it totally puts me off with its oxidizing bit. Plus I am someone who really goes by how the makeup looks in photos, this is definitley never my first choice when it comes to photographing purposes. I’d give it a 3/5. I think there are definitely better foundations out there at this price point.
